I started out like most drummers do.. bangin on my moms pots and pans... until i got a shot at playing at my church... a short time after that i became the on hand drummer and soon after started playing in events, and with different local Christian bands... i’ve had no really intense formal training just what i learned by being in band starting in junior high all the way up through high school... this did teach me a whole lot, i had great percusion directors, and great conductors (william phaleaon, angel ’mr, m’ martinez, and eric ’D’ donaldson) after graduating from high school and playing all over mexico i met and started playing with Heriberto Hermosillo, former member of Torre Fuerte, a very well known Spanish Christian band... he became my pastor and i became his drummer... and in this band i have been fortunate enough to travel all over central america mexico and soon into canada, i have truely been blessed in being in this band, (banda Semilla), in that i could explore the realm of gospel and r&b... but the true blessing is getting to know my Lord And Savior Jesus Christ, and had already been a Christian, but truely came to a deeper understanding here at Semilla... here i’ve not only grown musically but spiritually, and emotionally...

i met my wife at church years before, and reencountered her at my now church Semilla De Mostaza, we started off as friends, and simply became even better friends now... i can honestly say my life is more complete now, not just because i’m married to a wonderful woman, but also because of what The Word of God has done in me, and is doing in me... i know this is just the beginning... i have many projests lined up including my wife’s hip hop album, and an r&b album with my good friend jonathan rangel, who is an amazing musician and a very talented producer... with his help and influence we plan to record my wifes album to give her an outlet to share what she’s recieved from our Lord...(side note, she sings in the choir and plays second keys in Banda Semilla, and raps in the concerts too... ) well i hope to keep adding pages to this book called life, i just hope all of them have the seal of approval of The Almighty... Jesus Christ...... -dave
