Hi, I’m Sofus Forsberg - a Danish composer, artist, musician, etc. For many years I have been obsessed with “found sounds”, and how I could use them in my music. So I went out with a minidisc recorder and recorded lots and lots of noise, sounds, ambiences, etc. I used those sounds - often computer manipulated - together with my very small modular synth, and other synths/samplers/hardware. You can hear these sonic experiments on my first two albums - NO/1 and Udefra.
I then took a long break from music, which I used to gain a no.1 ranking in the computer game World of Warcraft...LOL!!!!
Now I’m done with that, and since I’m really tired of looking at a computer screen I have started composing again. I am building an even bigger modular synthesizer, plus buying more hardware - and (hopefully) my music reflects that.
I strive for a more improvisational approach. My fascination with science fiction is still intact, and my music continues to allude to the dark, the dystopian - but with a little hope.
I also started a new band called nvsbl ppl, together with Jæwer Jæv.
Enjoy ..
