Like i said i listen to all different kinds of music. I've grown to appreciate more than just one type, but right now im really into folk music/singers, jazz singers/musicians. Im not going to put a billion bands like everyone else(they usually list every band they ever heard of or can think of) but i'll list a few so you get the idea. Bob Dylan, Elliott Smith, Joan Baez, Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger, Bright Eyes, Death Cab for Cutie, Postal Service, (old)Tom Waits, Nick Drake, Angels and Airwaves, Coldplay, Damien Rice, Teitur, Ani DiFranco, The Shins, Oasis, Deftones, Madeleine Peyroux, Placebo, Bloc Party, Johnny Cash, Beatles, Zepplin, Pink Floyd, Hendrix, The Wallflowers, Doors, Clapton, A Perfect Circle, Tool, NIN,(old)Ben Harper, the list can go on for miles believe me. I mostly listen to singer/songwriters but i love folk, blues, and classic rock. Oh and Green Day has been, is, and always will be my favorite band. They have been since 4th grade, which is a looong time.
Movies:
I like watching movies when i get the chance. Mostly any psychological thrillers and comedies get me going but i like all sorts of movies. I'll start with my favorite ones which would be Big Fish, Lord of the Rings(yes i'm obsessed), Adaptation, Butterfly Effect, Cinderella Man, Batman Begins, Gangs of New York, Fear and Loathing in LV, Quills, American Psycho, Fight Club, American History X, Eternal Sunshine, Waking Life, Donnie Darko, The Crow,Girl With a Pearl Earing, and the funny stuff is like Half Baked, Detroit Rock City, Dazed and Confused, Super Troopers, Wet Hot American Summer, HeavyWeights, Anchorman, Austin Powers, Waynes World, Oh Brother Where Art Thou?, any Chris Farley movie really.
Television:
HEROES!! Monday, 9pm, channel 4. Watch it. Oh and Family Guy is the funniest show ever. Other than that I dont watch much tv. Actually tv kinda sucks. But you should watch this..... width="425" height="350" ..
Books:
My favorite is probably Survivor, then Chinese Takeout, The Fuck-up, Manhattan Loverboy, The Big Nothing, Chronicles Vol.1, Beyond Good and Evil, Darwin's Radio, Darwin's Children, Celestine Prophecy and the sequels, All too Human(anything by Nietzsche), Haunted, Buddhism is not what you Think, No Death No Fear, Living Buddha Living Christ, Holden Caulfield, Tuck Everlasting, Faster than the speed of Light, God and the Evolving Universe,Dylan Thomas complete poems, The Divine Comedy, Plato's The Republic, The Footprints of God, Huckleberry Finn, Lord of the Rings, and a whole bunch more i don't feel like listing.
Heroes:
John Singer Sargent, Odd Nerdrum, Richard Schmid, Mucha. Heroes i guess would be concidered idols or influences and i only have "heroes" in the painting aspect. Not in life.
