About Me

The Music Is Everything ....fuse the skyscraping genius...down-to-earth harmonies ... hit on a sound that is the genesis of something unique. .. multiple lead vocalists...three-part harmonies... subtle synthesis...audio montage...a blend of acoustic and electric guitar to create contrasting epic songs....subtle melodic passages...darker, fuller harmonic territory...these musicians claim eclectic influences...an unwillingness to be tied down to genre specific pigeonholes...they see all possibilities before...see what they hear, and make up your own mind. The rest of this is just words to make sure you can read the rest of our flowery PR above. If I type this much the logo should be lower. www.thefallingleaves.com www.TheFallingLeaves.com

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: thefallingleaves.com
Band Members: Summer Sundae reviews from efestivals and elsewhere:

Atmoc Duster:"Then it’s off to the Indoor Stage where The Falling Leaves are winning over their audience with their well thought out indie pop songs. They tend to get a tad over dramatic at times, but this doesn’t hide the fact that they hide several aces up their sleeves when it comes to a corking tune or two."

Drowned In Sound "....maybe a little of the new bracketing we’re calling New Mod, which we’ll expand on when we’ve thought of more than two other bands in its style. One certainly isn’t The Falling Leaves, who sound more like a cross between Thirteen Senses and the Electric Soft Parade in their hitmaking days and bugger all like the "tremelo-gazed guitar...and an acid house backbeat" promised in the programme." Ed in not New Mod shocker.

The Leicester Mercury - Dave Davies "The Falling Leaves would have had the song of the festival, The Girl With the Sun in Her Hair, if they had played outside."

Drowned In Sound Although the Out The Box club night is still in its infancy, the fact that over 100 people are packed into a tiny bar in a small town somewhere between Nottingham and Derby on a Thursday night should tell you something special is happening... Playing the graveyard slot while most folk are still trying to find the venue is a daunting prospect for any band, but for Leicester four-piece The Falling Leaves it’s merely water off a duck’s back. Their incendiary tremolo-glazed rock is steeped in pre-Britpop reference points such as Ride and The Weather Prophets, while their three-way vocal harmonies are a joy to behold.

Music Of The Moment The Falling Leaves - The Fallen Leaves (Instrumental) My favourite instrumental track of 2006 from a very friendly and talented band.

Ahabolgolicious

HotStof This blog is almost one year old and writing an almost daily piece has become a routine. And routine is nice on a day like today. Just do what you’re used to do. This is the best distraction for me at this moment. Fortuitous I found the music pretty fast and even more fortuitous is the fitting name of the band: The Falling Leaves. I didn’t know this band until now but I don’t think I’ll ever forget them.

Coast-is-clearEngland 1990/91... cool!

"Next up are The Falling Leaves from the UK. Their powerpop/shoegaze is really appealing. Bit of a boring official homepage, but who needs all the fancy fuzz when the music is that good?"

Sounds Like: Top right hand corner, dummy. Or, The Falling Leaves bridge the gap between Ride's youthful shoegazing birth and Massive Attack's world weary view forming a beautiful, bittersweet fuzz.I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
