About Me

DunnGenetic Productions was founded at Midland and Lawrence Avenue East in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada in 1998. It was in September of that year, two former DJs: Terry Kirk and Neil Konkel met at a local Pool hall to discuss their thoughts and ideas on music production and the possibility of creating a successful business partnership. Brought together by mutual associate Siad Abdulle, the duo began working with an exceptional amount of determination to create their recording studio, The DunnGen; and ultimately a new sound in Hip Hop. These two young men put forth their undivided attention into maintaining a high level of quality for all local talent looking to further their careers within the music industry. The DunnGen became DunnGenetic, when MCs throughout the city recognized the professionalism and creativity of these two talented men. As a team they have proven to be a step above all other local competition, and without a doubt one of the best production companies in the city. DG has always remained true to their craft, cooking up new music with hip hop authority that only a real hip hop fan could recognize.
Neil Konkel (Tony Genetic) has been immersed in music for over 10 years, having started his journey DJ'ing local house parties and then spinning Jungle sets in the late 90s. His creative abilities have been made clear in his use of dark sounds and a twist of his own extraordinary style. His unique mix of ideas has allowed him to remain ever changing and free in the hip hop production world, which sets DunnGenetic in a category of its own. Born and raised in Scartown, Tony Genetic has solely focused on elevating his music and business to a high level and he shows his love for the craft through his military like efforts.
Terry Kirk (TGO) is a man of unique character, especially with the amount of effort he puts into the business on a daily basis. Born in Trinidad, Terry brings a smooth yet precise rhythm with an undeniable flavour to DunnGenetic, rooted deeply in his addiction to hip hop music. Also growing up in Scartown, TGO always knew that he needed to make his own way in the music industry; with some hard work and determination he has succeeded in making his dream come true.
