I hope you like what you hear. I played every instrument, and sang all the vocals that you hear on every song, and am proud of it!!!. I've been playing guitar for 18+ years and drums for about a year or so less. I'm self taught (all but the few pointers that I got early on) and I am always hoping to improve my skills.
These songs are a bit old, but I think are still great.
"All I Have To Say", and "Inside" were recorded on a Four-Track analog tape recorder in my bedroom / demo studio back in the late 90's (man that makes me feel old!!). This version of "Inside" is the second that I recorded after I added another guitar part and recorded the bass parts.
"Say" is really a favorite song of mine (and someone special too!!).
"The Longest Day" and "But Anyway" were recorded during my only "professional" recording session during the winter of '96/'97 (Still Old!!!) and were demoed numerous times. I may even have some demo versions that I can put up here someday.
I'll get some more songs up here once I get sick of these, or you do first. Send me a message or add me as a friend and let me know what you think of these songs. These are a bit "alternative pop" sounding, but I also love and have recorded a bunch of "heavy" rock / metal songs too. I'll probably mix it up a bit and add some of those here soon to show you all the different styles I am into.
I really hope to get back to writing and recording and hopefully this will get my butt in gear.
My main recording gear consists of an ESP Custom Explorer, a Takamine electric acoustic, and the "lengendary" Digitech RP1 effects pedal. I also use Ibanez and Jackson bass guitars. I use Tama drums, Zildjian cymbals, and Vic Firth sticks.
I'm hoping to rebuild my first guitar, an imported Les Paul copy, that I got at a pawn shop many years ago. If all goes well, I hope to add it to the arsenal and get it into good use, either while recording or using it on stage!
I used a Fostex four track recorder and miscellaneous mics for recording all my demos.
I have to give thanks to the Audacity music player / recorder for assisting in getting these songs from 1/4 cassette tape to the digital age.
