I was born in Philadelphia, at the age of seven I moved to Florida.Living in Florida had a large impact on my life. The city life was full of culture.
I then moved yet again in the mid 80's to the suburbs of Wisconsin. It was quite a change from Florida it lacked alot of culture. There was nothing for me in wisconsin
it seemed. I missed my friends back home and the change in schools was a little ruff.
So I spent my time as a teen skateboarding and listening to punk rock in the mid 90's. Trying to really find the meaning of life and where I stand as a individual. My
foundation musicaly started with groups like The Bad Brains , Bob Marley , Peter Tosh , Bunny wailer etc. Through these sounds I started to learn about RasTafari.
So I started to explore more about Rasta livity and more about Him.
As a young teen I made my first trip to Negril Jamaica with my mother. I remember saving all my money just to be able to go. I loved it there and had a wonderful time.
It was there I met some Rasta's on the beach. I got in touch with a few people out there and made it to some reggae shows.
I started off making my own mix tapes of reggae music. Collecting roots music and learning from other styles of reggae like Lovers , Roots and Dancehall. I started my
show a few years later called Roots Rock Reggae on WLFM 91.1 Fm on wisconsin's air waves as well as webcast. I started to get to know more people as I progressed and started playing out at bars and local clubs with my friend Jahmeek of Selecta7Sound.
At that time is was mostly Dancehall that I focused on. Until people started to show me more Roots and dub style. I knew that Dancehall was no longer where it was at
for me. It started to get more mainstream and the riddims less attractive.
So as time progressed I got more in tune with the Rockers style and Dub style and left dancehall alone! I was interduced to Uk dub by my friends, at first I did not really like it that much then I was hooked and started to really see what it was all about.
During the year 2003 WLFM 91.1 FM lost funding and I unfortuently lost my radio show. Not to long after I continued with my show on Upfront Roots Network via
Internet stream. As I continued to grow and learn about Uk dub.
I then decided it was time to break away from Upfront and start my own mission.Be my own boss in a sense". I now am busy working on setting up my own website
and will continue to have shows every Tues at 6pm USA central time via webcast stream.
