math, movies, writing, language as it applies to how people's minds work, social structures, music, comedy, strong relationships
People (especially those who aren't that big on thinking themselves superior to others in any profound way), but I'd like to meet animals and other stuff if it's at all possible.
Dude!Built to Spill (Alot!), The microphones, Mirah, Little Wings, Sparklehorse, Flaming Lips, Velvet Underground, Pavement (A whole lot), Violent Fems (dope), Paul Simon, Kickball, Cake, Ben Folds Five, Talking Heads, R.E.M., Ray Stevens, Hefner, Quasi, The Cure, Songs-Ohia, Crash Test Dummies, They Might Be Giants, Smashing Pumpkins, Otis Redding, Jeff Buckley (Alot!), Nina Simon, Pink Floyd, Aesop Rock, Jurassic 5, Heiroglyphics, Self, and there's alot of other bands and stuff too. Some songs that I like are: The origin of love, Crimson and Clover, Hang on Sloopy, Run around Sue, Crying, Beach Boys songs, Pixies songs, and much more! Also Radiohead and Modest Mouse, and Geez, there must be more.
Lawnmower Man, You and Me and Everyone We Know, City of Lost Children, The Last Unicorn, Pink Panther, Funny Games, Battle Royal, and a lot of other ones pretty much.Hey! Does anyone know what this movie is called?: I saw a preview for it once and it seemed like it was about this group of people who were consciously tying to cultivate their luck, and they would play games like Russian roulette, and there was this old master (who seemed like the villain) and a young disciple (protagonist). If you know what it is, would you please let me know?
Home movies (what a great show that was (except for the fourth season)), Curb your Enthusiasm (awsome!), Arrested Developement, Gargoyles,I really have a problem with dramatic (usually hour long) shows that are always to be continued and keep building up the same plot episode after episode and go on for more than a season. They probably always get really bad, and I hate the scheme.
I'm into the Wheel of Time, some math books, David Duncan novels, Brothers Karamosov, Snow Crash, Kurt Vonnegut books,I want to read Gullivers Travels (or whatever it's called)
I like Joe's Hero, Heinrich Schleiman. Branco Curgus is definately admirable. Musicians like Doug Marsch and Stephen Malkmus. I have a boyish nonsexual crush on Kurt Vonnegut. My cousin, Geofforey. And myself too.
