Inner Mantra is a dark, gnarly rock band, formed in 2004 by Ace, the ex-founder member and guitarist of Skunk Anansie. Their music is heavy, intense and emotionally extreme by blending elements of early Sabbath with contemporary acts such as Filter and Marilyn Manson. Vocalist Duncan Harding was a hospital doctor until it all got too much forcing him to escape with an arsenal of confused, deep, provocative lyrics echoing many thoughts of the lost and isolated combined with brutally honest social commentary. Thick dirty bass is by dealt out by Luke Spurrell and pounding, thundering drums are unleashed by James Drohan. The combination of these four guys in the same room creates a powerful and awesome experience. Inner Mantra is here and ready to infect the masses.
