Oogtar The Caveboy

Acceptable In The 80's

About Me

Yet another chip-tune artist. For those that don't know what this involves, its just music made on good old fashioned games consoles...none of this PS3 crap. Game Boys, Ataris, Commodore 64's, NES & SNES consoles being typical weapons of choice.Personally, I'm sticking with Game Boys just now. I've got 8 so I might as well use them. 8-bit sound, crappy graphics & games that can be completed in next to no time. Problem being once you've completed them once you end up doing it again because it's so addictive. Why else would games like Mario, Tetris, Zelda & Final Fantasy still be so loved. So why make music rather than play games? Well think about how many bands just now are using dumbed down synths, lofi effects and lots of beeps & blips in their music. Alot of the time these are the best elements of the songs. Might as well take this a stage further & use only these. Now thats the music dealt with what about the artist "Oogtar the Caveboy". Yes I'm old enough to remeber original games consoles & still own them, but no I'm not too old to still be playing with them. Hopefully people can remeber my name, album names & track names from old games and the likes but if they can't it's hopefully going to rekindle an intrest. All said and done...Enjoy the music and keep it 8-bit!Debut album due out end of June. ..
