Derivative Contrivance

About Me

This is all a pitifully minimalist endeavor; all the music is performed and composed with a demo copy of a Little Sound DJ rom opperating through the magnificent Visual Boy Advance emulator, an M-Audio Keystation 49e played through an Oberhiem Matrix 6R rack module synth, and a downloaded copy of a Hammerhead Bros Rhythm Station Mk 1.0 loaded with downloaded samples of such classic drum machines as he Roland Tr-606 and the Boss Dr-55. All listed instruments were acquired through either Ebay or varios freeware sites. All plugs and cables used were acquired from Radioshack. Everything was recorded on either a Yamaha MD4S 4-track digital studio (also from Ebay) or a crappy Dell laptop running a copy of the wonderfully cheap freeware program Audacity. To further boast how pathetic and destitute I am, I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4

My Interests

Music:

Band Members: Mike F. who does everything, as usual.
Influences: Everyone, but in a backward negative sense. We hear the drivel everyone else is producing, and do the opposite. That doesn't mean that the resulting product isn't drivel, it's just not fashionable drivel. ------------------------------------------------------------ ----------------------------------- Seriously though, all iconolastic babble aside, I am influenced by everyone from A-ha to Zao. But mostly late 80's MOD and chiptunes artists like Rez, Spoon, Spaceman, Doh, Grim, and Random Voice (''Monday'' has got to be the best chiptune ever). And people who use Nanoloop or Little Sound DJ.
Sounds Like: Gameboy soundchips malfunctioning, vintage synthesizers short-circuiting while performing the insignifigant works of a musical nincompoop, and pretty much everything you can image from victorious warriors bellowing a triumphant chantey to alien mainstream pop music to the themesong from a grade-b 80's spy film.
