I am here for Friends

About Me

I'm modest... and that's about all. I have no delusions of grandeur. I enjoy my life, and if others want to model themselves, I think they should not be disappointed. After the 37 years it took to find Laura, I cherish every day with her. (It would have been so easy to have not ever found her.) I want no violent activities, brash language, bigotry, or any disrespect to women in my life. I've had my periods of my life where i was more like Donald Duck, with spitting fury. Now, i'm more like Daffy Duck!! : ) This is better!! Myspace Graphics

My Interests

I love our family, the little ones, the not so little anymore ones, the soon to be born ones, even our furry ones, and those we've never met.

I'd like to meet:

My Maker someday. God willing!! : )

Music:

I'd like to play music again. We have a new keyboard that only the cats and the g'kids play. I think i have some songs in my noggin that need to come out of there. I enjoy mostly Country & Western (not the "Faith Hill writhing around in bed, or Sara Evans selling songs doggy style" type of music that's crammed down the radio now... but the well written songs that tell a good story with a unique instrumental melody. Like Mark Gray's "Left Side of The Bed" or Eddie Rabbitt's "pre-rainy night" songs.) ..oh, and no more Dixie Chick-ens.. ever!

Movies:

Planes, Trains & Automobiles - 2 guys just trying to get home safelyRoad to Saddle River - Alberta ethnic film, detailing a culture lost to greenies Excalibur - a film of action, honor and valorLonesome Dove - Quote... "We don't rent pigs" ... tell them what they need to know!!LadyHawke - great story of love and challenge...My non-favorites - any of the Hobbit ripoff films - 12hrs of absolute wasted time...any film with Julia (ripoff) Roberts or Wilfred (any role for a buck) Brimley.

Television:

I enjoy Red Green (PBS), Cool Shots (ESPN II), King of Queens (?), and gobs of others on most nights... Laura and i get into the reality series of Survivor, Big Brother, Amazing Race and video tapes of the kids/g'kids!!

Books:

One book, the Good One...

Heroes:

My wife Laura is one of my few heros. I've thought a lot about this since we discussed it last week. Laura raised 2 that she birthed, and 2 she saved, and did it on a wage scale that wasn't fair for her effort, skills and knowledge. She managed to put the resources into the little ones to have them grow into responsible excellent spouses & parents themselves. I came along way after the hard work was done. Laura did it because she loves her four little ones soooooo much.Beyond that, my other heros would be those who volunteered to serve the Canadian, American and British forces to keep our heritage safe and free. Until recently, these three nations could be counted on without second thought. Now, it's the Americans, British, Auzzies and a few Polish that have the political will to stand for what they believe. Still, thank you to the nameless troops that have served and are serving to protect us and our freedom to live and strengthen our nation.

My Blog

I can't post without a subject line... auuuurrrgggghhhh

Our Destiny is here today... that and the power of prayer are two truths... the rest is unseen at this time. As the primordial battle for "family prisoners" prepares to take shape, I don't underst...
