Biography
Tom lives with his wife Jen DeLonge, daughter Ava Elizabeth (born July 15, 2002, also the Angels and Airwaves inspired logo), and son Jonas Rocket (born on August 16th, 2006 )[1]) and German Shephard Grey in Rancho Santa Fe, California. Tom DeLonge was raised by his mother and father in Poway, California. He has an older brother, Shon, and a younger sister, Kari. Tom was expelled from Poway High School during junior year after being caught drinking at a school basketball game.[citation needed] As Tom went to Rancho Bernardo High School, first he met Scott Raynor a freshman drummer at a a party starting Blink-182. Later he met Anne Hoppus, Mark Hoppus's sister, which led to him meeting Mark Hoppus. Blink-182's lineup was now complete. It was in Rancho Bernardo High School where Tom began studying musical theory. When he returned to Poway High School during his senior year, the students voted him Homecoming King, despite the fact he wasn't on the ballot.[citation needed] Blink-182 had a huge amount of mainstream success and lasted from 1992-2005. Tom and Travis Barker also participated in the band Box Car Racer, a side project created by Tom. Soon after the break up of Blink-182, Tom started the Alternative band Angels and Airwaves Tom once said in an interview with FUSE "until you get paid for being a jackass in this business, you can't do it". Recent rumors claim that Delonge has begun speaking to Travis Barker and Mark Hoppus, although no official statement has been released. On the 14th May 2007, unidentified sources confirmed that Tom Delonge and Travis Barker had had a brief conversation at Wahoo's Fish Tacos in California. (*** Impossible as +44 was on the road at this point between Indiana and Illinois.) Tom along with Angels and Airwaves will be playing at an English music festival (Reading/Leeds Festival) in London, England. +44 will also play at the same festival, although they will not be playing in the same cities on the same days as Angels and Airwaves.
