Meltdown Records - a Birmingham U.K. based metal label was born in early 2003.Following a distinct lack of label/zine activity in the area,and an abundance of great bands gigging around........Releases................* The debut release being the TORN 'INTEL' 4 track 7" (Melt 001).Containing 4 tracks from the now legendary release of the same name from 1995,only available as a cassette back then.This being a limited edition,numbered release of only 200 pressings.This was full on Birmingham hardcore.How it was meant to be.........TORN split years ago,going onto form bands such as AKBAR,SHINEBOX + INTENTION.* The second release on Meltdown Records was the awesome GODSIZE 'Rock And Roll Machine' brown vinyl 7".Limited to 500 pressings only.A 'sludge a rolla' classic.The debut release from these Stourbridge heavy weights'.* The third release was Totoal Meltdown (Melt 003) of which was a CDr album sampler,featuring awesome tracks from some of the coolest bands.This being a limited edition of only 500.* OUT FOR BLOOD (U.K.) + ORGAN (U.S.A.) got together for the fourth release,of which was the awesome 'Pulse Of The Underground' 6 track split CD (Melt 004).Limited to 1000 pressings only.A 2005 U.K. tour 'Hate Fuelled Abuse Tour..." supported this release.* ORGAN - Volume Of Hate CD (Melt 005) was ORGANS second full length album.A heavy weight southern yank sludge monster.ORGAN returned to the U.K. to appear at Meltdown 2005.*GODSIZE - 'Hymn's For The Fallen' CD - became Meltdown's sixth release (Melt 006).This just out,debut album from Stourbridge's answer to EYEHATEGOD.A limited release in mini LP style fold out cover.Mastered by Andy from OUT FOR BLOOD/4Q Radio.A vinyl LP versio will shortly follow.* SLAB - 'Betray The Past...Infect The Future' (Melt 007) CD.Awesome debut album from Birmingham's SLAB.We are very proud to be working with these guy's........A full on metal assault with twists of TOOL and Born Against.* I AM COLOSSUS 'Monolithis/Revelation's' 7" box set (Melt 008).Birmingham's heaviest band - ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!A very limited release.x100 only,about to be releasd.Splat vinyl 7" in horrible box with inserts.A sure fire rarity for the future.SUNNO)))) would dance to this kinda stuff....AAAAARRRGGGHHHH..See the photo's section for all the releases,of which are available directly from us!!!!We also host the annual Meltdown Fest,of which has been so far on three occasions.The first Fest was headlined by MISTRESS,the following year by VIKING SKULL,and this years by Birmingham's BENEDICTION.
