About Me

After DJing for years, I got into making music in about '98 when my friend Gils and I bought a Yamaha A3000 Sampler, an Atari ST and a keyboard and started writing drum and bass. In 2000, we hooked up with the MC Nick Toots and started writing vocal tunes under the name ‘Ringleader’. We were signed in 2003 by Intercom records (with the EZ Rollers) and released 2 tunes with them. The first tune 'Enough is enough' was played extensively on all the major radio stations, with Zane lowe playing it 14 times, making it 'Tune of the week' and 'Hottest tune in the world right now' and interviewing Nick Toots (then called Teknikov) live on air. The second release was a tune called '1000 tears' which came out on a compilation album. The band has since split up, although a lot of that material is still waiting for a new home when the time is right. Right now I have various projects going on: my own tunes which are featured here on this page from which I have had playouts from Offshore recordings and Haze from Red mist Recordings as well as 'unknown exception' featuring on a Hospital records 'democast' podcast. I’m also working on some new stuff with Mr.Toots, another Drum and Bass project called 'GM beats' a Breaks project with DJ Mag1. I'm also in a weird, highly original electronic/live band called Dayward (check my top friends) which consists of myself and Moochild and sometimes featuring Ladyraz. As well as all that, I often lend a hand to Bristol band ‘The Boots’, recently having toured Japan (in November ’07) and have also produced a track for the new album which was released in Japan in November '07.
