Currently studying Irish music and dance in UL.
Mainly music, I love going to gigs and playing music. I attempt to play many instruments (usually unsuccessfully) but I mainly play the flute and more recently the mandolin. I like to sing as well so if anyone knows of a band looking for a backing singer, give me a shout!! I love animals, especially cats, of which I have several. Back home we have everything from tropical fish to strange fowl to cows. Recently we got a new dog called Ted, he's gorgous!! I also appear to have a rather sad interest in current affairs and an increasing fascination with politics.... maybe its just election fever. Like most people in my demographic, I like to frequent public houses and such other places of social gatherings....

Most kinds but I really don't like dance, well I only put up with it when I really need a spin from my brother and when I'm in a night club. I love alot of the bands and artists on the Irish music scene such as Jodavino, Fred, Armoured Bear, The Frames, Simple Kid, Damien Dempsey, David Kitt, Hal, Duke Special, Paddy Casey, Bell X-1, Mark Geary, Roesy, Fionn Regan, Jack L, John Spillane, Sinead O' Connor, Mary Black and others as well as Irish trad&folk and variants of this style such as Planxty, KÃla, Altan, Solas, The Sharon Shannon Band, North Cregg, Liam O' Maonlai, Paul Brady, Andy Irvine, CaoimhÃn O' Raghallaigh .. Also I'm rather fond of Bob Dylan, Rory Gallagher, Joni Mitchell, Fleetwood Mac, Queen, Jeff Buckley, The Smiths, The Kings of Leon, Amy Winehouse, The Fratellis, Rodrigo y Gabriella, Josh Ritter, The Gypsy Kings, Ella Fitzgerald, Razorlight and a fair few others as well. I like telly :) I watch alot of the soaps.. Emmerdale, Corrie, Ros na Rúin, Home & Away. I love Desperate Housewives, Ugly Betty, Other Voices Songs From a Room, The Sopranos, The Panel, Father Ted and most Irish made/based comedies/dramas. Will watch most comedy programmes...
Don't have time to read books for pleasure anymore :( But my favourite newspapers are the Examiner and the Sunday Independant on weekends. My fav. magazine is Hotpress.... absolutely love it!!
