Greetings folks .... just a little bit of info for you... and I have to admit whilst i can comfortably work my way around the various gadgets and gizmo's in my studio.. I have to confess I'm not yet the greatest "myspace" pimp... so bear with meI have working in and around music since the age of 18. Initially based in London I worked in different clubs in and around the city playing what then was a big new sound at the time "Chicago House" before moving onto the crazy smiley faced acid music
Spending pretty much every penny I earned building a collection of import 12" tunes I was soon touted by a number of Pirate radio stations where I spent the next couple of years. At 23 I moved south and continued working in small clubs, bars and private events, building a reputation as a diverse DJ mixing different genres to keep the crowds coming.
The continued development in technology saw me build a fascination with music production, messing about with different samples and chopping up various bits of music to create remixes which i used in my own sets. This continued until i eventually retired the decks and moved into song writing, re-mixing and production.
In 2004 I opened my own recording studio on the south coast working with local artists as well as on my own material. This was a fantastic learning process but in some ways i spent too much time earning money by working for others and had less and less time to focus on what i really loved (messing about with sounds) so i shut the studio in 2006 keeping only the equipment i needed to work on new projects.
So it's 2007 and I'm hungry to get back into the thick of it. I've recently moved west a little to Bournemouth in Dorset where the eclectic mix of people and venues is very much to my liking. I'll be looking around the area for local musicians, artists and writers to work with and have a few projects in their early phases.....Watch this space :-)
