The Morning After

Not your average covers band, Not a jukebox

About Me

The Morning After was originally formed as a side project featuring the members of former original Goulburn rock band Vision. Forming in 2005, and playing under the name Vision, the boys practiced solidly for several months building up a repertoire of over 35 songs.
The Vision Covers Band was formed not just to be another covers band, but a live rock experience. The band covers artists from The Beatles to The Foo Fighters, but at all times performs with a chunky rock sound and an energetic live performance.
The first show was performed in January 2006 at Tully Park Tavern in Goulburn where the band was well received by the crowd. A month later Vision Covers Band played to a capacity crowd at the Goulburn Workers Club back bar and had the dance floor jumping with their hard rocking take on many well-known songs. Vision Covers Band then played a handful of further shows at the Astor Hotel Goulburn; House & Hound Hotel Crookwell; The Oaks Hall; and the Goulburn Workers Club.
After taking a break from the covers scene for over 12 months, due to commitments with their original music, the Vision covers band reformed in April 2007 and played back-to-back shows in Goulburn over a weekend in May, at Club 93 and the Tattersalls Hotel. At this time the band members felt the need to draw a distinction between their original music and their pub-rock covers, and so changed the name of the covers project to The Morning After. The name is taken from the name of an original Vision song and fits with the theme of the band. In August 2007, Vision decided to call it a day, allowing the members to focus their musical attention on The Morning After.
Since then, The Morning After has been creating a name for themselves as one of the hottest new cover bands on the scene, playing several shows in Goulburn and Cowra. Now armed with an arsenal of 50 rocking covers, The Morning After are set for a big year in 2008, with a host of gigs booked in in Goulburn, Canberra, Queanbeyan and surrounding districts.
NOTE: ALL SHOWS ARE AGES 18+ UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED!
