I'm interested in many things so I keep occupied. I love to read but that hasn't always been the way with me. I am always currently reading; often more than one book. I'm interested in philosophy, music, documentary films, the public school system and the ways in which it labels, harasses and treats youth in high schools, cultural anthropology, sociology, social justice/politics, censorship, media violence, the prison system, going for walks and outdoor activities. I enjoy spending time with friends and being around people socially, but I enjoy time spent alone also because I'm very interactive with my environment and what I'm doing; reading, listening to music, writing, drawing, painting, etc. In fact, a main reason I choose not to watch the news or much television is that I'm compelled to interact with what is on through constant dialoge which may confuse anybody else in the house. However, when I do watch tv or a movie, I don't like to talk about the plot or try to figure out what will happen next, how parts link with one another or what have you. I like to take it all in, the entire experience, so if it doesn't grab me I don't consider it a good show. Can you see the catch-22 here? I guess music is the same way for me. Well, reading too. This should give anyone an insight about me and how I relate with my interests.

I totally enjoy all sorts of movies, honest. However I won't, can't, don't contribute to the profit of a film that I find lacks in artistic quality or originality. Nor do I think Disney movies promote healthy relationships between their male and female main characters, either humans or animals. My favorites are: Running With Scissors, O Brother Where Art Thou, Fight Club, SLC Punk, The Big Lebowski, Higher Learning, Bowling for Columbine, Party Monster, Pi, Requieum for a Dream, 25th Hour, Pulp Fiction, American History X, Forrest Gump, Blow, American Psycho, The Matrix, The Exorcist, Kill Bill(all), Natural Born Killers, House of a 1000 Corpses, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Narc, Once Upon a Time in Mexico, Old School, The Jacket, The Devil's Rejects, Seeing Other People, Red Dragon, Hero, House of Flying Daggers, The Butterfly Effect, Friday, The Sandlot-to name a few. I like Edward Norton and Matthew Lilliard, though my favorite is Johnny Depp as a character actor. I buy dvds of movies that I don't want to be without. Some are very hard to find and many are independent films
Television:
Is full of sensationalism and censored violence. When a show like the Simpsons airs for more than 14 years with no end in sight, well the humor just isn't funny anymore, it's disgusting. Not all TV is bad but most is. People spend far too much time tuned into it for the sole purpose of tuning out. Now South Park, Greg the Bunny and The Daily Show are examples of what I watch when I turn the damn thing on. Yes, I turn it on to watch A show, then its off again. Fear, consume, and believe what is heard; it's the new God. Manson says, "Kill your God, kill your TV," but the religious reich fail to include the kill your TV when slandering in the public media forum, and instead blame music artists and their lyrics for violence, never war or riots by protestants in Ireland. Mezmorized, hypnotized, desensitized, self serving degenerates, pimps of what is the "American" way. Yeah, right, and I'm buying into the pissing well hell? Give me a break, give us all a break!
