Ashley Updates

Ashley Is Back

This week Ashley made her offical return to Smackdown she came out to the ring and simply introduced Ozzy.

Bangin with Ashley

In the last edition of Bangin' with Ashley, she dished on her latest band exploits and promised an exclusive interview with The Hives. Now, for the interview with The Hives. These guys were definitely super cool. They are from Sweden. So funny…ya know how people always ask if you know someone from a certain state, meanwhile it’s a huge state, what are the chances of you knowing that person? Well, I totally pulled that on them, only one step worse. I found out they were from Sweden, and I happen to know a model from Sweden. Mind you, all I know is she’s from Sweden, and I have no idea what part or anything. So this jacka** (that would be me), upon meeting them says, “Hey guys, do know this chick Erika Johnson, she’s a model and she lives in Sweden."Then I realized what a jerk I sounded like…UNTIL…they said, YES we know her, she’s in some movies and such! Apparently, she’s well known over there! So yeah, they saved me from being THAT girl. The idiot.Anyway, without further rambling, I give you the interview with Nicholas Arson of The Hives:Q: How did you guys get involved in working with Timbaland? A: He called us.Q: He just asked? A: We knew of him and did the track around May.Q: Sweet! When Timbaland’s tracking you down, that must feel pretty good. Do you have an album coming out or tour we should know about? A: The album should be coming out this fall along with a tour around August. Lately we've been in a few places, including Miami, recording.Q: Who are your musical influences, and what would you describe your sound like? A: We listen to all kinds of music starting with ‘60s and punk. The Sonics, Before The Damned, Sex Pistols, Dead Kennedys and bands that were around at that same time. The Oblivions and The New Bomb Turks also. We always described our sound as something like a velvet glove with brass knuckles; brutal and sophisticated at the same time.Q: What about your style? It’s very unique. I love it. Derived from anything? (They wear all white and black fitted suits, ties and shoes, very James Bond-esque.) A: We read an article once about Spy vs. Spy from the magazine MAD, and that's where the black and white came from. And black and white photo negs. Which we all dig.Q: How did you like the video shoot overall and the track…were you happy with the way the song turned out? A: I think the song sounds great. So far we’re having fun at the shoot.Q: Have you ever watched wrestling? A: When we were young, we got cable in Sweden around nine or 10 and watched American wrestling aka WWE. We were fans from then on. Our favorites included “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan, Brutus the Beefcake, Andre the Giant, Ultimate Warrior and Jimmy Snuka.Q: Do you still live in Sweden? A: Yes, we still live in the same town we grew up in. Two of us live in Stockholm.Q: Where do you like touring the best? A: Southern Europe, everywhere. It’s almost the same because it’s an amazing feeling to tour. The only different feeling place is Japan. They're very organized, they do what they are supposed to do, but as a punk band, to have them react that way at a show, well, it’s kind of weird. Thanks, Nicholas. Good Luck to all of you guys with the new album, looking forward to it!!!So I spoke to Lita and she's got some exciting and interesting news about herself and The Luchagors coming up in the next Bangin'. So stay tuned.Speaking of other Superstars, I've decided my next victim to interrogate is going to be none other than the Dancin’ Divas themselves: Extreme Exposé:Q: Kelly, what music runs through your iPod most often? A: Probably hip-hop. I love rap. (Yes, I know having spent some time in the locker room with you hehe). My iPod is very ghetto fab. My favorite songs are "Throw it on Me" by Timbaland, (kiss a** hahaha, j/k) Trina, Trick Daddy, and Three 6 Mafia.Q: How about you, Brooke? What are you into these days? A: I have a wide range of music, lots of classic rock. Def Leppard is my favorite band of all time. I also like AC/DC, Billy Idol, Ozzy, Three Days Grace, Trapt, Linkin Park, Disturbed. Then I go to rap and hip-hop like Timbaland, Ying Yang twins, even a little bit of country – Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, and Garth Brooks.Q: What about you, Layla? What do you like to shake that butt to? A: Hip-hop. I love Timbaland’s whole new album. Also, “Put Some D’s on It.” I love that song by Rich Boy. The new Mya song with Lil Wayne "Lock You Down" is great too. Also, I'm listening to my old school R&B songs in a nice, slow way.Q: As a whole, what would be the ultimate song Extreme Exposé would like to dance to on ECW? A: There's so many that it’s so hard to choose from. Ok, top three...that’s why we like doing the Exposé, because every week we get to showcase a different song and style. We like to change it up. Next on the wish list, though, would be “Cherry Pie” by Warrant for Brooke, "Sexyback" by Justin Timberlake for Kelly Kelly, And for Layla some Miami flavor, like a “Luke” song and really shake that booty!Ok, that about wraps up this week’s edition of Bangin’. Thanks for stopping by, y’all. I think my Playboy is finally off newsstands, but can be purchased at Playboy.com if ya missed it. I still am shocked they let my piercings and tats stay. It’s such an honor for me to be breaking the mold of your "standard Playboy chick". That's what's most cool about having done this issue – paving the way for more altered beauties that aren't your cookie cutter mold. I'm proud of that, and hope this issue sells well so that different things are considered when choosing cover girls and Playmates. Thanks for listening to my rants, dudes.Love you guys...Tunes of the day: “Interesting Drug”- Morrissey “Entrance of the Conflagration”- Trivium “Don't cry out”- Shiny Toy Guns “Oh the Guilt”- Nirvana “I Don't Love you”- My Chemical RomanceXoxo, Ashley

Smackdown Results

Tonight on Smackdown Michael Cole interviewed Ashley via satellite. Michael Cole reminded everyone that Ashley loosened a screw in her ankle due to the attack from Jillian Hall. Ashley says she's excited to get back to Smackdown because it feels as if she's been out for months instead of just a few weeks. She goes onto say that music helps her stay positive and she loves anything by Rage Against the Machine.

Bangin with Ashley

So talk about a long hiatus! Sorry y’all. Between promoting the Playboy issue, to having a title match at WrestleMania 23, this blog has been neglected a bit. But, never fear; I have much to talk about. It’s all going to be packed into this one, fat, juicy, delicious blog.Mmmmmmmm. K, although it’s been awhile, I'm back in full effect. So much has happened since I spoke to you guys last!!!First of all, I went to see Taste of Chaos in Ohio which was unbelievably sick. Had the BEST time. Wil from Aiden was able to snag us a couple of backstage passes, and I got to watch Jared Leto’s band and a few others from the stage. Sweeeet. The lineup was amazing… Aiden, Chiodos, 30 Seconds to Mars, Senses Fail and my fave band The USED!!! Sick Show. I had a Playboy signing that morning in Cleveland and booked it (and I mean booked it) to Dayton to catch this show. Barely made it. Missed a bit of Aiden which was disappointing, but I have seen them more than anyone else on the card.My PR rep, and one of the coolest peeps I know, Joe Villa, was with me because we had to start more media at five the next morning. Since we were coming from the signing, he was able to come with me! It was his first time seeing any of those bands, so it was fun! We saw a lot of WWE fans there! I signed a bunch of autographs and took pics right in the crowd. We are all just music lovers there, so we chilled together and talked, it was awesome. Wil said its amazing how many fans WWE has. He also mentioned that some woman and her children drove by their bus. They had driven all the way from Cleveland to see me because they heard I would be there. He was floored. It was so funny. I hope I got to find that bunch. I’d feel awful if they drove those five hours and didn’t get to. At least they’d get to see a fantastic show! Thanks, Wil, for everything. You freaking rule.I went to see Blue October with Paul London a bit ago at Irving Plaza in New York City, my favorite venue. I am shocked more people don't talk about this band. They are majorly underrated. What an amazing show. The vocalist Justin Furstenfeld, is so powerful and moving you actually feel the pain, happiness, and emotion in his voice when he sings. It’s incredible. I suggest if you hear about Blue October coming anywhere near your city you go check them out. “Into the Ocean,” “Overweight,” “Balance Beam” and “Weight of the World” are my favorites. The first time I heard the acoustic version of “Weight of the World,” I cried. It’s such a moving song. After the show, it was pretty cold outside, and for some reason the window fell out of the socket on the driver’s side of my car. AHHH poor Paul had to drive all the way back to my house with the window open on his face. It was freezing, guys. You have no idea. I had a beach blanket around him. It was soo funny. His teeth were chattering. Still a fantastic night. Then more recently I flew out to L.A. to be featured in Timbaland’s music video for “Throw it On Me” along with Torrie, Extreme Exposé and Maryse. The band The Hives are featured on this track and in the video. They were such cool dudes. I’ve got an interview with them in the next edition of Bangin' next Friday, so check it out! The video airs around May 21[on Raw] I believe, so be watchin’! We were kickin’ a**, and shakin’ our booties, so much fun!A couple weeks ago, I got to appear on one of my favorite networks, Fuse! For you music lovers like me, this station kicks major a**. I appeared on The Sauce. It is a new, live show that interviews celebs, musicians, and has live performances and interacts with fans. It’s wayyy cool. Steven - Yes, THE Steven from Steven’s Untitled Rock Show was the one to interview me. He was so down to earth and cool. I couldn’t shut up; I mean you guys know better than anyone when it comes to music I’ll chew your ear off. So I may have some exciting news coming up about Fuse in the near future, but I’ll save that for the next Bangin' ! :o)Well since the last time I dropped a blog I've learned some disappointing news. Not only did the singer of Bury your Dead leave his band like I reported last blog, Sonny Moore, lead singer of From First to Last (yes, one of my favorite bands) has left the band. I was devastated, until I spoke to him and he said he's working on a solo project. Sonny is such a talented musician. I'm absolutely certain you’re going to love his new stuff. I've heard some of it and it’s a different direction than it used to be with FFTL, but in my opinion a more expanded and interesting sound. It’s really, really good and I can't wait until he records an album. You can check it out at www.myspace.com/sonnysound. I was disappointed about the band breaking up until I heard this, so be sure to check it out if you were a fan of FFTL. “Glow Worm” is easily my fave. I remember how sad I was when Blink-182 broke up...but we got The Transplants, AND + 44, AND Angels and Airwaves out of it, which is cool, but I still love my Blink.Ok, so another piece of news. You all know The Used is my favorite band. Well, their drummer Branden Steineckert, apparently left the band and started HIS own project… which I've checked out and is actually not that bad, but I would never stray from Bert and The Used. He, Jeph and Quinn still remain in the band, and have been using substitutes occasionally for touring. Although, I’ve heard they may have a more permanent drummer in place named Dan Whitesides. I’ll get the dirt on that…hehe.Anyway, The Used’s long-awaited new album is coming out this month! I can’t wait. This is a band that I have completely felt and enjoyed every song off both their self-titled debut album and off Love and Death their second album as well. Their new one is called Lies for the Liars and is going to be released on May 22!!! Which is right near my birthday! (Which is the 26! I choose to believe this is a personal birthday gift from my fave band hahaha jk) AHHHH I can’t wait! My faves that I have heard so far are “Pretty Handsome Awkward,” “The Bird and The Worm” and “Lies for the Liars.” This should definitely be an amazing album. These songs are sick.Nothing wrong with some good music folks. It truly has been getting me through so much lately. This is definitely a very busy time in my life. Sometimes it goes so fast that I feel out of myself – if that makes any sense. I am grounded by music. I appreciate it and respect it, and most of all am in awe of it. I love talking about it, and I think you guys know that. Ha.Lil more interesting news, the lead singer of Slipknot’s newer project Stone Sour has an album that came out, I’m sure some of you have heard called Come What(Ever) May. “Through Glass” and “Sillyworld” are their singles, and they are pretty freaking good. However, I find myself still digging Slipknot more. Not that I don't like this project, believe me I do. Anyway, they have an acoustic version of this album set to come out soon. I LOVE acoustic. LOVE. So I’m looking forward to it.Every Time I Die, another favorite of mine, is set to do another album. Vocalist Keith Buckley (one of the more interesting human beings on the planet) says they're hoping it gets out by early summer. I love everything about this dude. His voice is un-$%&@-believable, he's sarcastic as hell, and he's hilarious. Aside from that, he is extremely intelligent...in my opinion he should be a force to be reckoned with as a musician. I can't wait for the new album. You guys who visit my MySpace(www.myspace.com/ashleymizassaro) know they are frequently on my background music. I talk about them a lot because I'm a huge fan of the band. And of Keith. Incubus has come out with a new one as well called Light Grenades. I've always enjoyed Brandon Boyd’s voice and lyrics, and if you've ever been a fan at some point, I suggest you check this album out. “Earth to Bella Part 2,” “Anna Molly” and “Oil and Water” are my faves. My brother Ronnie is a HUGE fan of this band, he has been for as long as I can remember. He’s seen many of their shows and introduced them to me ages ago.I saw the movie Tenacious D last night. Weird, yet very funny. I was shocked by Jack Black’s voice; even though I know it’s satirical, I was still impressed. The boy can pretty much sing and they've got a CD out now called The Pick of Destiny, of course, if you've seen the movie. I love the metal spoofs in the movie.

Skin Tight Photoshoot

With a grueling travel schedule and performing at more than 200 live events each year, the life of a WWE Superstar can be hectic. In addition, squeezing in family commitments and face time around the holidays can be tight. But the tight connection between a Superstar and their No. 1 fan — their mother — is something that takes precedence every year for one Sunday in May.Mother’s Day (May 13 this year) is the third-largest gift-giving holiday behind Valentine’s Day and Christmas. With SmackDown on the road in White Plains, N.Y., and Raw Superstars traveling to Hampton, Va., for a show on Monday, creating a great Mother’s Day for mom while away takes a little creativity, ingenuity and advance planning. Honoring the woman that was their chauffer, nutritionist, cheerleader and sports psychologist while growing up is a top priority. WWE.com caught up with some Superstars at recent events, and asked them about their unique plans for celebrating the holiday with their mothers.MARIA: My family owns a pool, and every year, my mom opens the pool [herself]. But this year, I’m hiring someone to open the pool for my mother, so I think that would be something special for her. And, for my special someone, I’m sending his mom flowers and my boyfriend’s friend’s mom flowers as well. So I have three moms to take care of this year, but they are all great moms.

Melina Updates

Daily Diva

Monday Night Raw

Melina started things off with a slap to the face, as Ross said many fans have noticed Candice's improved in-ring skills. Melina stretched Candice against the ropes, then she put her in a surfboard stretch in center ring. Melina continued to torture Candice's back, then she missed with a charging splash against the ropes. She came up favoring the back of her leg, and Candice capitalized with a back breaker across her knee. Candice followed with a series of clothesline, then she nailed a dropkick and fired up. Ross wanted to know who's teaching Candice her new maneuvers. (Sounds like a storyline development waiting to happen. Maybe the forgotten Nitro?) Melina escaped a pin attempt, then raked Candice's eyes. Candice came back, though, with a bridge pin off the ropes and scored the pin for the win. Ross said somewhere, sometime, Melina is going to have to put her belt on the line against Candice.WINNER: Candice in 4:00. Good energy, again. Candice isn't at Mickie's level in the ring, but the fans are responding well to the big push. Could be interesting to see whether Ross's line about wanting to know who's teaching Candice her new moves leads to a new storyline development.

Judgment Day

Melina didn't appear in a match but she was in a backstage segment with the other Divas.Backstage, Krystal stood in front of the roster of WWE divas. She asked Ashley who will win the WWE Title match tonight. Ashley with Cena. Mickie with Khali. McCool with Cena. Candice Michelle with Cena. Jillian doesn't think Cena is hot; she thinks Khali is hot and he makes her want to sing. Maria said Batista will win. Leyla with Khali. Brooke speaks and goes with Cena. Kelly Kelly with Khali Khali. Victoria and Melina talked it over, then Melina said Khali because he's big. Really big. Krystal had her Oprah moment and predicted pain. Everyone had a good, forced laugh.Internet Confessions of a True Diva, No. 5 By Melina Written: May 17, 2007Many things have happened since my last entry. I have defended my title against Ashley at WrestleMania and Mickie James at Backlash.I am determined in my matches and confident in my abilities. I go into my matches knowing that I will come out victorious, because I will do whatever it takes to come out on top. Like I have said before, NO ONE wants that championship more than I do.Ashley has spunk, and I see some fire in her eyes. However, like all the new Divas, she lacks experience and heart. I am a competitor and a fighter by nature. My heart is determined, and wants what it wants. I will not give up or settle for less. Not that Ashley gave up, she gave me her best, but sometimes we learn that our best just isn't good enough. This is a lesson that many new Divas will learn. We will also see just how long they will last in a competitive world where it's all about hard work. Your looks will only take you so far.I admit, Mickie has been my fiercest opponent. There have been moments when I wrestled against Mickie James where I worried that she might take my championship from me. Of course she didn't, but WOW.... what a rush that is. The challenge.... OMG!!! What a great feeling!Maybe that's why I LOVE to taunt her so — she keeps me on my toes.In the next few weeks I will write about my thoughts and what is going on.I will write about what I think of all the people who hate me, my best friend Victoria, and my relationship with Johnny Nitro. I guess maybe my thoughts on Candice Michelle because people are asking, but seriously, there is nothing to say. Good for her learning to wrestle, but she should have been learning the past two years like I have. I'm not impressed and I'm not worried. BUT I DO love the new challenge (even though it won't be much of one).I do want to apologize to Candice though, when she was showing me that she wanted the Women’s Championship after her match against Victoria, I honestly thought she was showing me the spare tire around her waist. It’s just the first thing I saw when she did that motion, my bad. Honestly, how can you not notice that? I suggest doubling up on the Tae Bo classes, and cutting out the carbs after 8:00 p.m.I admit, being the Women's Champion is more difficult than I expected. I'm used to the attention, SURE! But there is so much to it, and I gladly accept it. I train harder and understand that I have a target on my head because everyone is gunning for my championship.Everyone who doesn't like me in one way or another wants to see me fail.Well, too bad! I'm not going to! You think I'm a bad person? If you are sitting there hoping and wishing for me to fail, you are no better than I am! I am a human being (who just happens to be hot, sexy and can kick some @ss), who has a goal and has worked hard to achieve her dreams. Believe me when I say NO ONE is going to rob me of that!Until my next confession, be true to yourself and don't let anyone tell you that you aren't good enough! (Unless your name is Candice Michelle or Ashley Massaro.)The most dominant champion in wrestling history,~Melina~

Monday Night Raw

WWE Women's Champion Melina did not compete in a match on Raw tonite, although she commentated on Candice's match with Victoria.Melina came down the ramp in her usual fashion flaunting the Women's Championship, she then executed her famous splits on the commentators table before sitting down. Early on in the match Melina Melina acknowledged improvements from Candice, but said she's still not championship material. After the match, Candice did the belt-around-the-waist motion in Melina's face and Melina said she can see that Candice is fat.

Divas Burn Paris

This week in Diva Dish, Ariel, Michelle McCool and Chloe have some choice words for a prison-bound heiress. Spring has sprung, and Torrie Wilson, Melina, Candice Michelle, Victoria, Mickie James and Maria talk about their head-turning, warm-weather style. Also, Melina preps for a trip down memory lane and Candice Michelle shares her passion for American Idol. That’s hot… not When it comes to the prison-bound heiress everyone’s talking about, a few WWE Divas expressed some strong opinions to Diva Dish.“Paris Hilton – she got exactly what she deserved. Who does she think she is?” ECW’s Ariel hissed. “Daddy can’t bail her out all the time.”Michelle McCool said she’s not a fan of Hilton, but she does enjoy watching The Simple Life, the E! reality show in which Hilton co-stars with Nicole Richie.“It makes me laugh. I’m easily entertained, I guess,” the SmackDown Diva chuckled. The former teacher has no sympathy for Hilton, though.“As far as going to jail, honestly, I feel like if you do it, you have to pay the consequences, and that’s what’s she’s doing,” she said. “Tough luck. Maybe it’ll teach her a lesson and hopefully it’ll teach a lot of other people a lesson, in my opinion.”Chloe, on the other hand, was more concerned about the well-being of Hilton’s famous four-legged friend.“Woof! Woof!” Chloe barked. (Translation: “Oh no – who will take care of Tinkerbell while Paris is in the clink?!”)Spring fever Spring has sprung! The sun is shining, the flowers are in bloom and the WWE Divas’ fashions are getting a little sexier. But do skimpier clothes equal more stares from admiring onlookers? Diva Dish asked some of the Sexiest Women on Raw for their take on things.Torrie Wilson confirmed our suspicions – the stares increase when the mercury rises.“I do feel a little more stares when the weather gets hotter, and it probably is because the hemlines get shorter and the tank tops get skimpier, but you just try to accommodate for the hot weather,” she said. “The stares are good to a point. When people start overtly staring, it gets a little beyond annoying sometimes, especially in airports.”Women’s Champion Melina confidently said onlookers always stare at her, no matter if it’s winter, spring, summer or fall.“It’s true, I’m wearing a little less as it’s getting hotter outside,” she said. “The stares don’t bother me. I’m used to it. It’s the same old thing, just like the paparazzi.”Candice Michelle said her favorite outfit any time of year is her birthday suit.“It doesn’t really depend on the weather. If I’m in the mood to go out and dance on tables, there may be less clothes,” she giggled.Candice said she’s happiest when it’s sunny and warm outside, so it’s no surprise she’s a fan of wearing as little as possible. And who wouldn’t want to look at Candice?“Stares don’t bother me, as long as they’re nice stares – to me it’s a compliment. I’d rather have somebody want to look than not want to!” she said. “But if you’re being rude, then you know, the stares are not welcome.”Victoria, on the other hand, said she pays no mind to onlookers.“I really don’t notice! Maybe I’m in my own la-la land,” she said, blaming spring allergy season for her aloofness.“I do look forward to spring fashion. The clothes are not as heavy. You can see my ring gear. I’m not ashamed,” Victoria coyly smiled. “But my area is a little conservative. I own a family restaurant, so I’m not one to go, ‘Hey, look at my tummy! Look at my cleavage!’ I’m a more family kind of girl.”Mickie James, who enjoys clothes shopping, as seen in her Backlash diary on WWE.com, said a lack of clothes shouldn’t necessarily warrant more stares.“I think any outfit can be sexy, whether it’s jeans and a sexy top or whatever,” Mickie said. “Obviously if you’re wearing something kind of trashy, maybe you’ll get some stares, but it’s not because it’s sexy, it’s more like, ‘Oh my goodness, I can’t believe she’s wearing that!’ It may not be the stare you’re looking for.”Raw’s resident fashion plate, Maria, had plenty to chat about spring’s head-turning styles.“More stares don’t bother me at all. I wouldn’t be a WWE Diva if I didn’t like being looked at and doing photo shoots,” she smiled. “I look forward to spring fashions because I love clothes, not because of the extra stares from guys. Plus, if my man likes it, I don’t care about anybody else.”Maria had a few spring fashion tips for Diva Dish readers, too. One of her new favorite purchases is a sailor-inspired dress with pockets.“It’s very, very popular this season to have pockets on dresses and skirts. I think it’s because of the way it looks when you walk with your hands in your pockets. It has more of a slender, streamlined look to it,” she said. Also “in” are bubble skirts, which give the body a more hourglass shape; and chunky-heeled shoes, cork heels and shoes that completely match an outfit.“Like wearing a hot pink dress with hot pink shoes,” Maria explained, saying hot pink and red are popular this warm weather season. No matter the colors the Sexiest Women on Television wear this spring, they’re bound to turn heads and drop jaws, we certainly know that.School days The Women’s Champion is ready to take a trip down memory lane. Melina told Diva Dish her high school reunion is coming up, and she wants to attend."I don’t really keep in touch with many people, but I’m starting to. Those people don’t see me just as a person on TV, they see me as the person I was and that I am,” she said.Melina wants to catch up with high school pals and see what her classmates have accomplished.“My friends I do stay in touch with, they’re excited and happy for me to be Women’s Champion. I don’t know if anybody knew that I’d be a WWE Diva; they just knew I was different,” Melina said. “I always loved to entertain and I loved sports in high school. People knew I was different and special, but they didn’t know just how special. Now everyone wants to watch WWE and is proud of me.”The Women’s Champion said she plans to bring her favorite accessory to the reunion, which will undoubtedly attract the paparazzi.“I’m going to bring Nitro with me; he’s my accessory. I want him to see the people I grew up with so he sees more of me and hears stories about me,” she said. “So hopefully I’ll get to go to the reunion. I’ll take my Women’s Championship with me and show everyone!”

Monday Night Raw

WWE Women's Champion Melina & Victoria vs Mickie James & Candice MichelleCandice went for a backslide on Victoria in the opening minute and Ross said her skills seem to be improving each week. Mickie and Melina then entered the ring and they brawled on the mat. Melina screamed as Mickie landed right hand blows, then Victoria yanked Mickie out of the ring to the floor. The heels then isolated Mickie in the ring before Candice took a hot tag and ran around the ring. She snapped off a head scissors that nearly broke Victoria's neck, and Melina broke up a pin attempt. The heels tried to execute a double suplex on Candice, but Mickie broke it up. Candice then rolled up Victoria for the win.WINNERS: Candice & Mickie in 4:00. Good energy. Not sure what's with the push for Candice, but she's at least showing signs of improvement in the ring.

Diva Dish

Viva las Divas! Olé! Tomorrow is Cinco de Mayo, a Mexican national holiday. Several WWE Divas told Diva Dish they’ll be celebrating in many festive ways. When we asked Melina if she knew the holiday was fast approaching, she quickly answered, “Of course I know Cinco de Mayo is coming up – my family is Mexican!”“I will definitely celebrate that night, because I’ll be getting in the ring. It’s going to be another victory for the Women’s Champion, Melina. Celebrating will involve dancing and piñatas,” she said, flashing a mysterious smile.

Monday Night Raw

Mickie and Melina started things off, then Candice tagged in and flew off the top rope onto Melina's arm. The heels regained control and worked on Candice before Mickie took a quick tag. The action broke down, then Mickie snapped off a huracanrana on Victoria in the corner. Candice then made a blind tag without Melina realizing it and Candice caught Melina in the face with a spin kick to the upper body to make the cover and the win.WINNERS: Candice & Mickie James in 3:00. Standard action. Hopefully Candice picking up these wins will lead to something watchable, as the Mickie vs. Melina singles feud was doing just fine on its own.
