He was born in g/town Guyana on january 18, 1982,
he was raised in Trinidad. And with the music came the lifestyle. Negus carefully,
collecting his lyrical ammunition. He began his career in the music industry in 2005. After Landing his first single called "Hot Sexy Body Girl" on the dreaded riddim, with the Fya Clan Crew,
where he first made a name for himself as a performer/ singer/ songwriter. He cut his first single on the fya clan label in 2005,and soon movet on to Radical promotions label after migrating to Canada,
Working with Radical promotions marked an important turning point for Negus.
From the outset their relationship is one of mutual respect and inspiration. A run of successful singles led to the release of an album, 'ALL ABOUT LOVE' Where Negus has five tracks.
Securing his position as a reggae dancehall artist, he set about cultivating his role as a messenger of the dancehall.
A brilliant and passionate performer, Negus is breaking boundaries, appealing to those looking for something new,
His major breakthrough came in 2007 with the release of the new album "ALL ABOUT LOVE".
Overall his music is generally positive, advocating faith, compassion for poor black youth, and respect for women. He remains something of an enigma to the public at large,
Negus is a versatile singer, he is also capable of both rapid fire chatting,
powerful, melodic singing, and his best backing riddims are among the strongest in contemporary dancehall.
Negus has released six impressive tracks for 2007 and he is in the studio working on a few more tracks before 2007 is over, at least eleven more tracks,
he stated for the 2008 he will release his album with about 15 to 17 tracks of powerful music.
He also started his own business "Negus Graphics and Design; this set the mark of his growth not only as a great dancehall artist but also a Graphic Designer.
Negus says he will continue to release music through his career showcasing the level of talent that exudes through his creativity.
In addition to his musical breakthroughs,
Negus continues to build different opportunities to empower himself and the community
by creating an environment for young people to grow and develop skills.
