Hi everyone! My name is Cheri, and I have practiced wushu for 9 years. I'm originally from Antioch, California which is about 1 hour away from San Francisco. Almost 3 years ago, I made the US Wushu Team but immediately afterward I received my contract for Cirque du Soleil. So I retired from competition wushu, and joined Cirque du Soleil's new show called "KA" which would be permanently based in Las Vegas @ the MGM Grand Casino. We flew to Montreal and trained for 6 months in the cold winter. Then me and my family moved to Las Vegas and trained in the KA theatre for another 6 months until the show opened in November 2004. Since then, my sister and I have been working really hard for the show.Now, I am working as a full-time performing artist for Cirque du Soleil. I am an actress playing the role of the "Twin Brother" character which includes wushu, acrobatics, and puppetry. We have 2 shows a night, 10 shows a week. Our show has been playing for about 1 1/2 yrs. It's a really innovative and spectacular show; like a live movie. I highly recommend it!
