I am here for Friends

About Me

We are here at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri. We all really miss our family back in Cali. and our sister in Texas, but you can't always choose where the Army sends you. We are proud and willing to make the sacrifice and always keep our family and friends close to our hearts.

My Interests

We love being outdoors, even if it means just getting into the truck and driving or window shopping somewhere. We love to barbecue, watch movies, go for walks, and traveling. As the kids gets bigger we plan on camping, boating, hiking, and going to amusement parks.

I'd like to meet:

We are always up for meeting new people whenever we are stationed somewhere new. We know there are other military members out there in the same situation as us. Making a new family while away from family is all you can do.

Music:

Okay, I confess: I listen to rap music on the radio! It keeps me pumped up and going while I'm driving the kids around to school, soccer, ballet, etc. We also love old school, oldies, and country music. Love the Beatles, Smokey Robinson, Aerosmith, and others.

Movies:

We watch a mix of different kinds of movies. Action, suspense, "chick flicks", and Disney movies.

Television:

Love Rescue Me, Grey's Anatomy, Law and Order SVU, the history channel, and the DIY network. Of course the kids love the Disney Channel.

Books:

It's good to know I'm not the only human left that likes to read. I read to the kids every night before bed, and I like to read Danielle Steele, Linda Lael Miller, Nora Roberts, etc. I also read anything that catches my eye on the best seller lists, and anything I can get my hands on. I actually even read the labels on boxes and shampoo bottles!

Heroes:

As sappy as it sounds, it is so true that our heroes are the everyday heroes. My hero is my husband Nick for putting his life on the line to defend our freedom and fight for freedom for others, and still coming home every night and being the best dad and husband ever. We feel the true heroes are the soldiers who live so far from home and are willing to risk their lives for us even though we are strangers to them. And the moms and dads out there that work hard and love their families.
