Wealthy people looking to start up a theater/comedy club as venture capitalists... know any??
I have eclectic tastes and like everything with the exception of twangy country (Hank Sr. is okay) and heavy rap. Specifically I revere Billy Joel as a fellow Long Islander and the guy who got me through all the rough relationships of High School, classic Van Halen, and all the 80's-ish stuff like INXS and Depeche Mode and Sigue Sigue Sputnik and Def Leppard and Meatloaf and all that and now I mostly listen to Alternative Rock a la WBCN like The Offspring and Beastie Boys and Rage Against The Machine, and Jet and The Strokes and White Stripes and whatever all else and roll with the hip hop, too... I have eclectic tastes... I also thoroughly enjoy some of my more talented friends' bands especially Rick Z, Sweet Set Murder (formerly Third Rail (check out www.SweetSetMurder.com), The Funky White Honkies and Incognito Sofa Love, the MayBees, Leah Carlson, and the Steamy Bohemians... man, I have a lot of really talented friends!
... The Sting, Army of Darkness, Fight Club, Jaws, Spider-Man (1 & 2), Star Wars, The Indiana Jones movies, LOTR, Star Trek (2 and 4), The Godfather(s), Hook, Finding Neverland, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, The Matrix, The X-Men Movies, Stripes, Sneakers, Shawn of the Dead, just about all the Jackie Chan movies, The Abyss, Blade Runner (director's cut), True Lies, The Princess Bride, Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Pirates of the Caribbean...so many more... I prefer comedies and action especially action/comedies...
The Daily Show, Family Guy, Simpsons, South Park, LOST, 24, MythBusters, MXC, Sopranos, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Monk, Penn & Teller's Bullshit, old game shows (RIP BTVS & Firefly)
Stephen King, Piers Anthony, Weiss & Hickman... I like sci-fi, horror, and fantasy for the most part...
hmmm, not much for Hero Worship... superhero would be Spider-Man, but Heroes... at the risk of coming off like a momma's boy (I'm not) I'd have to say my Mom for her perserverence and strength, my friend Jessi for her spirit and style, and my man Rick Z for his... well vision sounds like a pun on his being blind but it sums it up best and his genius with music, and well... let's just say my close friends and family are my heroes.
