Francis is the return of Austin based, by way of Seattle, singer/songwriter Ryan Carter. Ryan came onto the Austin, TX music scene fronting the popular band Dewato. Dewato's run took them west to the Viper Room in Los Angeles , east to the Bitter End in NYC, and all points in between. After the release of the critically acclaimed album "Demonstration", Dewato parted ways.
After some time away, Ryan is back with a new collection of songs. This time, his songs take shape under the band name Francis. Francis' first release "...The Sun Rises On Time" (due out late summer) is a look back at the experiences of the last few years. Recorded by Mark Addison at The Aerie Studios , Ryan enlisted the help of friends to fill in the band. With the aid of Will Sexton, Joey Shuffield, Jake Blackwell , Tony Scalzo , Matt Mollica , Stephen Bres , and Aaron Barrara, they have created a sound true and unique enough to be called Francis.
