About Me


Message aka Rahsaan Basek is as an artist, producer, and engineer since 1992. If it's about technical recording, equipment base knowledge and over-all living independent hip-hop music, that is what he is all about.It seems having fun doing this music or entertainment business a lot of artists lose the vision of having fun. Message runs into a lot of people who stress the financial and fame part more than the enjoyment of life. In the entertainment industry, the only thing you can really do is love it. You'll never ever know what is going to happen in the long run.Message as the emcee. Who also has a few other names, like Paper Cutz and Rahsaan Basek. Basek ( is Basic with an -ek ) He spells it like this because basically he is sick with the word play. He chooses to talk about computer parts, graffiti, art design topics and more. To understand the many layers of computer art designs, or even layering your HTML codes. Then you can relate to what he says as an artist. He also talks about skateboarding a lot. An extreme amount, because has been doing it for 23 plus years. Starting at the age of 8, and now is riding pro for Paint It! Skateboards. Has been skating since 1985!Producing a track for a breaker, you may only hear samples of Message, and a lot change up beat changes to keep the energy of the track.Also be on the look out for NEW apparel and skate wheels for Rahsaan Basek in 2008!Look for a few things by Message. 7 songs promo titled "Basek Composition" produced by Paper Cuts and other producers.
