Four years later & still the closest friends I wrote an acoustic song, Useless Lovesong, and I thought this song could use some more emotion and music. So I asked Vijnie to play some piano along. This is when we made that connection, and the Naso Elegans were born.
The name comes from one of our stops @checkpoint Terneuzen where they have a huge aquarium with lots of tropical fish. The one that had the most of our attention was the Naso Elegans, a Nemo look-a-like.
This year I wrote a new song, Life Won’t Wait Life Goes On†with a wink to Rancid’s Radio and Life Won’t Wait. Once again I asked Vijnie to play along and once again he did! It’s a song about broken hearts, the way you feel when you broke up with someone (or that someone with you), when you’ve lost that piece off yourself and you can’t get it back no matter how hard you try. But it’s also about friendship, your friends that pick you up, try to fill in that empty space and the strength you get from them.
For me Naso Elegans is a way of expressing myself, tell my story and find strength in the songs I write! Love it or leave it!!
