Influences: MC Ruma a.k.a Bill Exton grew up listening to all sorts of music not really focussing on any one genre until his early secondary school days where he stumbled across jungle drum and bass, since then there has been no looking back. He became heavily influenced by the music and live concept of the scene especially the MCs and wanted a piece of the action. He attended as many D&B events as possible and was instantly mesmerised by the way the MCs controlled the crowed. From then on he was hooked.Once he had found the confidence in himself and his lyric writing, Ruma began flooding his cousin (Rascal of Rascal and klone) with demos, desperately seeking the chance to show his worth on stage in front of a live audience.Within a few months Rascal&Klone agreed to set Ruma loose on the mic at a club in coventry alongside a few other local djs and mcs the reaction and interest shown by the crowd was overwhelming.Word spread and Ruma was made resident at fortnightly events such as TerraTechnique and Stimulus which enabled him to play along side lots of local talent and big name DJs and MCs such as; Andy C, Bryan G, Danny Wheeler, MC Biggie, Simon Bassline Smith, Generation Dub, Ratty, Hype, KennyKen, Zen, Sygo, Zinc, Devise, P.M, Escape, Hazzard, Highcontrast, Grooverider, MC Eksman, Twisted Individual, Nicky Blackmarket, Probe, Phantasy, MickeyFinn, Friction, Fresh, APB, Subfocus, Caution, Samas, Buzzy, Pendulum, DynamiteMC, Muffler, IC3, Accapello, Chase and Status, Reaction, D-vision, Tempest, Fearless, Mampi swift.. and many more. With his schedule and reputation still gaining weight, he began travelling with Rascal and Klone, playing events and radio shows spanning the U.k from Edinburgh to Cornwall and even as far a field as the Italian island of sardinia.Rest assured that this is one Ruma to be belived!
