About Me
Since James broke into the Hard Dance scene in 2004 with a debut set for Wildchild, he has been one of the most talked-about newcomers in the game. Citing Eddie Halliwell and Alex Kidd as key influences, James’s exciting and involving sets cover the whole hard dance spectrum. After his break with Wildchild, James was fast established as one of most exciting nu-breed DJs around, with bookings for club tours from hard dance giants Goodgreef, Slinky and Sundissential all following within the next year.
In his own words, James sums up his own eclectic musical policy.
“My unique and upfront style of Hard Dance is an exciting mix of Hard Electro, Techno, and driving hard tech Trance. My tunes selection will take you on a journey through the harder edge of electronic music. Basically anything with a dirty fat base line, groovy percussion, and big euphoric break gets my vote and its defiantly working with the clubbers!! If you want a real insight come see me play, After all seeing is believing!! One thing is for sure this sound is going to be BIG and I’m going to be at the forefront pushing the ass off it, WATCH THIS SPACE!!!!â€
It’s this forward thinking and unique track selection that has helped him to become one of the most popular DJs on the circuit, with a legion of fans across the country already.
2006/2007 saw James become resident for Oxford based promotion Republica and two big London promotions Frantic (alongside Andy Whitby and Gally Gage) and the newest superclub promotion Nu Religion, giving the capital city a taste of this bright new star. He is also one of the few DJs at Global Gathering to play on both nights – rocking the Contagious Clubwear stage on Friday and Saturday and then being invited back to take control once again the following year. Now as a UDJs DJ he is soon to become one of biggest names of the new generation.
This year (2007) James decided to take the next step and get into the studio so he could really home in on his sound. He got together with the up and coming Brighton based Dj Dan-Identikal and the two of them set to work on a couple of tracks. On completion James sent them off to one of his favourite record labels “Traffic Records†Once Scott (vinylgroover) had listened to the two tracks he instantly signed them both and got cracking on sending them out to his database of superstar Djs. Within weeks Scott was getting reports back from the likes of Mark Sherry, K90 and even the massive global Dj/Producer Scot Project that the two tracks were rocking clubbland not only in the UK but all over the world!! Condensed Minds got number 1 on www.djdownloads.com and Electrizum being highlighted in Mixmags tune of the month for October, something James had always dreamed about. Watch out 2008 this is the year Clubworld had a taste of James Condon!!!
“James is a name that always springs to mind when putting on an event. In a little under a year he has stormed his way into the nation's finest Main Arenas from Frantic to Wildchild and many more! He works hard and plays hard, and is certainly a DJ to look out for in the future. Watch this star rise!"
Will Paterson, Frantic
"James Condon is one Dj I know will ALWAYS rock a dance floor he just seems to read the revellers like a book and deliver just what they want!! With James’s awesome track selection, seamless mixing and massive stage presence he was one of the first Djs I thought of when it came to choosing a resident for Republica.
Andy Harris – Republica
"Never have I seen a DJ with such passion and determination as James Condon. He is a true performer and a great asset to Nu Religion!"
