DJFear aka Chris Sumner started DJ'ing aged 15 when he was influenced from his older brother's rave tapes from underground promotions, such as Perception, Mytholigy and then later on Fantazia, Dreamscape and Helter Skelter.
As he saw the rave scene grow into something special he also noticed how the music split into different genres.
Chris soon picked up on the happier side of the rave scene and began to follow the uplifting but still driving sounds of hardcore.
It was not long until he was hooked on the hard four beat and uplifting breakdowns.
Back then it was more samples of older tunes mixed with piano and breakbeats,
not like the new preferred sound of lush pads and huge strings, hard beats and bass and freshly written vocals that give the new euphoric sound - but not forgetting the original idea...rave music!
Chris/ DJFear went from strength to strength with bookings from a young age at local youth club raves to present day promotions as a solo artist and part of OX33 at events like; Fruit Club, Terminal, WildChild, Rave By the Sea Weekender, WhosHardcore, Square one, Energycore to name a few.
Again as the scene grows stronger DJFear will continue to add more tunes and projects to help the scene progress forward
A recent track can be heard on the Hardcore Euphoria album (Dougal and Gammer Mix)
The track "Dont walk away" featuring Lisa Abbott was tipped to be "one of the anthems of 2006"
