About Me

You won't find much information here. It's not that I don't know myself, but how to express such a complex thing in a single paragraph or set of paragraphs for a (potentially) complete stranger to not only read, but understand?I would say, the easiest way for you to get to know me is by talking to me. I can give you mundane details about 'Oh, I'm patient, intelligent. I enjoy yada yada yada', but that is not an actual summation of what I am, it is merely the outer layers. I feel to know someone you need to be able to do more than just list off things like their favorite colors and their allergies. You can't really ever "know" a person, rather, you can only experience them. Thus, it is better for you to contact me on AIM or through some other communication channel, rather than look for a "clear understanding" of me here.

My Interests

Those're just the main ones.

Music:

Do not ask me 'What music do you like to listen to?'. Rather, ask me 'What music do you *not* like to listen to?'. Yes, I'm that eclectic. (Generally dislike most rap though.)

Movies:

Life is Beautiful; In Good Company; Practical Magic; The Matrix (I); Triplets of Bellville; Amelie; Pinnochio; Lilo and Stich; The Princess Bride; Shindler's List; Sin City; Big Fish; My Fair Lady; Mary Poppins; Twin Dragons; Shakespeare in Love; Terminator (I-III); In God's Hands; Starwars (I, IV-VI); Star Trek III/IV: The Search for Spock/The Voyage Home; Star Trek: First Contact; Matchstick Men; The Sting; Indiana Jones In Search of the Holy Grail; The Last Unicorn; Ferngully; Willow; The Lost Boys; John Carpenters' Vampires; What Lies Beneath; Resident Evil (I and II); The Lord of the Rings (The Fellowship most of all); Sailor Moon S/R the Movies; Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (the "Johnny Depp One"); The Longest Yard (the "Adam Sandler One"); Empire Records; Snatch; 50 first dates; The Wedding Singer (yeah, I'm a bit of a Sandler fan); Stephen Lynch live at the El Ray (not really a movie, but still very good); So I married an Ax Murderer; Monty Python's the Meaning of life, Quest for the Holy Grail, Life of Bryan; Serenity; Edward Scissorhands; Dogma; Finding Neverland; Thelma and Louise; To Catch A Thief; Dancer in the Dark; Rushmore; Garden State; Finding Nemo; What's Eating Gilbert Grape; The Terminal.... And many, many more.

Television:

Alton Brown's Good Eats; Ham on the Street; Iron Chef (both Japanese and American); Mythbusters; sometimes the History channel has something interesting, Modern Marvels is nice; Adult Swim, particularly Robot Chicken and Futurama; Dinner: Impossible; Six Feet Under; Heroes; Battlestar Galactica; No Reservations; Ang: The Last Air Bender; How It's Made.

Books:

Nearly everything by Mercedes Lackey; The Lily Theatre; Absolutely Normal Chaos; the Hobbit; A Night Without Armor; The Hitch Hiker's Guide; Dirk Gently's Hollistic Detective Agency; the Giver; Falling Up; A light in the attic; Where the sidewalk ends; A Clockwork Orange; Angelwalk; This Alien Shore; Space, Time, and Einstein; Tales of a Chinese Grandmother; The Harry Potter series; Star Wars: The Corellian Trilogy; Locker Room Diaries.... Some more, of course, but those're the main ones.

Heroes:

People who genuinely care and try, who don't give up just because their life isn't exactly what they want it to be. People who realize that striving to be perfect is all well and good so long as you remember you will always fail; people who revel in that imperfection.

Some have been asking to see photos of the 'new man in my life', so I put two up. Isn't he just completely hot? I mean, that red hair alone, damn. ^=^
