So I thought I wanted to be a teacher until I actually got into a classroom and realized that the average 15-year-old is about as interested in literature as I am in watching paint dry. So what does one do with an English degree?
You start out in marketing, move on to secretarial stuff, work as a barista, procurement agent, financial analyst, DBA, and web programmer until someone finally points out that if you are able to write, people will pay you money to do so! And amazingly, people do!
