BIOGRAPHY
Reaves & Ahorn is without a doubt one of these tech/trance producer team in Germany you might have heard from in the last month.
Dan Reaves, already a successful Berlin DJ, and Niels von Ahorn, already working as a producer for other artists, met in 2003. They both have tried to find there own style of music when they met each other in the studio of a shared friend. It shortly became clear that they both have been looking for some new challenging elements in music which they have finally found in each passion of their own. Sharing the passion for the driving thing and the energy in music they decided to start producing together.
It was a big challenge for both of them, but they coped it and the first tracks where on the spot played in radio shows of famous DJs and they got positive feedback from everywhere. Promos of these tracks were sent to all well known labels in Europe and it was John Askew, the head of A&R for Discover and Discover Dark, who recognized their talent…The first release under the guise Daniel Blanks (cooperation with Aboutblank) and the track Physical on Discover Digital set their debut and was like the initial start for their public appearance. Remixes for John O’Callaghan, Darren Tate and Corderoy have proven amongst the DJs elite by getting plays from the usual top jocs and hitting playlists worldwide. These first steps are just the beginning of following productions and the overall positive feedback they get from dance music fans and DJs worldwide is exactly what keeps them going from strength to strength...
