About Me

Rosalind was born in Newark NJ on February 19, 1987. She began her singing career at the age of 9 as a lyricist and performer. She recorded her first original song “Dying Inside” at the age of 12 at Mood Productions studio with Troy Randall who would also go on to vocally train her for the next 5 years. In that 5 years Rosalind kept writing, copywriting and recording her original songs. At the age of 16 she performed Chaka Khan’s “Sweet Thing” at the Apollo Theatre in Harlem, NY. She later got accepted to Berklee College of Music located in Boston, MA on a very high scholarship to study Music Education.

Her musical influences are Rachelle Ferrell, Kiki Sheared, Kim Burrell, Jazmine Sullivan, Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige, Gwen Stefani, Erykah Badu and Alanis Morrisette. She has always enjoyed and respected artists for their writing abilities. Rosalind also enjoys listening to musicians such as Miles Davis and Louis Armstrong. Rosalind discovered other talents like print modeling and acting later on in her career. “My mother was a print model and I’ve always been dramatic so why not acting?” she laughs. Rosalind has been in magazines such as Hype Hair, Black Sophisticated, a Modu Wig Catolog, a Remy Lotion ad; she has also been featured on BET as one of Tigger’s “tastefully” beautiful models.

Rosalind has also performed at various events with her talented background singers and dancers. “Performing is what I love to do and it comes very natural to me”.
