Lyrics
Lauren Harris (borned 1984) grew up on music and you could say that she has music in her blood. Being the daughter of Iron Maiden bassist and founder Steve Harris, she was sourounded by music and the music industry from an early age, so there is no wonder that she took music as a path in her life.
She started singing in London area pubs and was discovered by British producer/writer/artist Russ Ballard, who, unaware of who she was, asked to hire her for recording the new material he was writing. Lauren, unaware of who he was, was thrilled to have the chance to sing in the studio and earn the money he was offering. What tourned out to be Lauren..s first time singing in a studio was a great success.
In 2005 she started working with Monstro Visionary Entertainment..s Tom McWilliams and Steve Altman writing and recording material.
She has done concerts in USA and in the UK in 2006, including appearances at the Download Festival at both Donington and Dublin, and the German Rock im Park and Rock am Ring festivals. They also had time to record a couple of videos of "Your Turn" and "Get Over It", two of her songs that are part of her setlist amongst some cover songs like Gun..s "Steal Your Fire", Stry..s "Come On Over" and UFO..s "Natural Thing".
Then she got the chance to tour with Iron Maiden on a part of their A Matter of Life and Death Tour in late 2006, going to places like Japan, Spain, Denmark and Italy. She also toured in early 2007 in the UK supporting The Answer. In march 2007 she supported Iron Maiden again on 4 dates, in Dubai (Desert Rock Festival), Athens, Belgrade and Bangalore in India, being the first female fronted rock band that has played in India. After that she toured supporting Within Temptation on their european tour in March/April 2007, bringing her to Spain, Norway, Sweden, France and Finland amongst other countries.
In 2007 she and the band have been working on the finishing touches of her debut album that's expectet to come out sometime before the summer of this year. During June 2007 she toured with Iron Maiden again on their A Matter of The Beast Summer Tour, where she will be playing at festivals such as Heineken Jamming Festival in Italy, BBK Festival in Spain, Fields of Rock in Holland, Download Festival at Donnington in England and finishing at Graspop Festival in Belgium.
So long in 2008 she's been touring with Iron Maiden on their Somewhere Back In Time Tour playing in Australia, Japan, North America, Central America and South America.
THE BAND:
When she started working with Monstro in 2005 the band was formed by Lauren on vocals, Tom McWilliams at the drums, Richie Faulkner at the guitar and Miguel Gonzales at the bass, later replaced by Randy Gregg.
Tom McWilliams, borned, raised and based in Miami, USA has been with Lauren since the wery beggining. He is an experienced drummer and producer that has been in many bands, the most notable beeing Critical Mass. He has worked with such artists as Gloria Estefan, Jon Secada, touring with him in the 90..s, Lindsey Lohan, Carlos Vives, Victor Manuel, Monica Naranjo, and a large etc.. He has been on TV, and at events such as ..96 Olympics, The World Cup, and even performed for the President at The White House!! He has been honoured with several Grammy nominations. In early 2005 he formed Monstro Visionary Entertainment with Steve Altman.
Richie Faulkner, borned 1980, from Mos Eisley in England. He is the virtous guitarist, who founde Voodoo Six together with basist Tony Newton in 2003, in 2006 they released the debut album "Feed My Soul". In 2005 they supported Iron Maiden at Hammersmith on Clive Aid. He is also part of the London based coverband Metalworks. In 2002 he was part of Deeds, formerly known as Dirty Deeds, on their "Blown" album.
Miguel Gonzales was the first bass player. He has been part of Bad Company singer Brian Howe..s solo work, participating on the album "Touch".
Randy Gregg joined the band as a bass player in 2006 replacing Miguel Gonzales. Born in Queens, New York in 1969 and influenced by Queen, Gene Simmons and Tom Patterson of Cheap Trick. His first band was the New York based rock trio called Garlic, which released two albums, and toured along the East Coast and opening for bands like Cheap Trick, Thin Lizzy and L.A Guns. In late 90..s he joined Angel, the 70..s legendary artists and they are still going on. In 2001 he playd with Dee Snider in Dee Sniders SMF..s. 2003 was the year when he was given the position of bass player for Thin Lizzy, wich he had a succesfull tour with in 2003 and the summer of 2004. In early 2005 he fullfilled his childhood aspiration when he joined a Queen tibute band called Almost Queen, wich has been featured in TV and radio, including the Howard Stern show.
