Influences: Although I felt like such a girl, I got teary eyed when I saw Bonnie Raitt and, later, Melissa Etheridge in concert. I totally dig on anyone with soul and/or originality (and a surprising amount of country artists for being such a rocker now)--Heart, Prince(thanks Geezer, for really turning me on to deeper cuts), Nikka Costa, Dolly Parton, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Alanis Morrisette, Sheryl Crow, Ozzy, Simon & Garfunkel, Jim Croce, James Taylor, Grateful Dead, The Beatles, Anne Murray (don't laugh, I love her voice), Trisha Yearwood, Steve Miller Band, Indigo Girls, Creedence, Alabama, Etta James, and I'm sure I'm forgetting fifty million others!
Sounds Like: If Etta James, Melissa Etheridge, Bonnie Raitt, and Rod Stewart had a foursome, Laurel would be their illegitimate child.
