Ras Daniel formed the band Desert Lions in 2000,in Tel Aviv Israel. It is a roots reggae and dancehall band.In 2004 Ras went to Kingston Jamaica with the great producer GUIL [rasta]BUINSTIEN, and recorded the disk LIFE STRUGGLE, in TUFF GONG studio. The musical producer of the disk was the famous CLIVE HUNT, who has produced and played with bands such as Gladiators, Luciano, Wailers,ect.ect. Ras used the finest musicans and singers from jamaica, like Sticky and Scully from Bob Marley fame on percussion,DEAN FRASIER, on sax, Nambo on trombone,Paul Kastic on drums{who at the time was playing with Shaggy,Dave Madden on trumpet,and YOSSI FINE, From Israel on bass.Haguy Mizrachi ,on keyboard,also from Israel, and Leba Hubbard,and Pam Hall singing backround vocals along with Ras,and Wayne Armond on guitar along with Ras.Shane Brown was the engineer along with his father the great ERROL BROWN, who sat in for a song or two.Sergio Brahms also sang vocals along with Michelle Jackson.Al Poncho D.JD. on track2, The disk was released only in Israel so far and was and is a big hit with reggae fans. The band can be seen perfoming at various venues and festivales all over Israel.Like Shantipi festival Beresheet and Boombamela festivals.
