DJ Manuel

I was born in 1980 in Piacenza, a city of Northern Italy and 60 km south of Milan. As a child my musical training was based on the Italian musical sound, thanks to my father, who was keen on this genre. I recorded my favourite music on music cassettes, but the source of the sound came from vinyl discs. And so began my passion for music and the curiosity regarding the technology of music reproduction.In 90’s my passion for information technology was born and I began my first musical experiments. I was attracted by the unlimited possibilities of a pc connected to a console. Disco and dance music fascinated me.In September 2001 I had my first performance as a DJ. I received this possibility on the occasion of a private party that I organised with some friends. The results were much better than the expectations! The economical difficulties forced me to organise as well as possible, but my enthusiasm enabled me to climb over every obstacle. My console was improvised and basic, but all the people liked my musical selection and confirmed my abilities.In the following years I was regularly behind the console of this private party that, in the meantime, gained success and popularity: at the last ones the number of guests was 500. The party was also a good promotion and permitted me to be contacted for other events.In 2004 I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. My life was subjected to a radical change: I accepted a job for a Swiss company and I moved all my things to a Swiss canton close to Germany. A completely new world!
