EDOARDO BIGNOZZI. Ha studiato chitarra classica e jazz, piano e musica improvvisata e partecipato a corsi e stages di perfezionamento con Jim Hall, John Scofield, Mick Goodrick, Joe Diorio, Cristian Escoudè. Dal 1995 ad oggi ha realizzato, oltre a 2 cd di composizioni per sola chitarra, “Nocturnal†(Acoustic Music Records) e “From Bilbao to Bombay†(Phorminx), 8 album tra propri progetti ed altre collaborazioni discografiche.
Scrive musica per la televisione italiana, statunitense e spagnola (RAI, National Geographic Channel e Telemadrid). Partecipa a programmi radiofonici sul jazz e sulla musica improvvisata (RAI - Radiotre Suite, Radio Vaticana - Studio A).
Svolge attività concertistica come solista, in duo (Island) con Enrico Cresci (chitarra acustica), in duo (Strings) con Elio Cassarà (chitarra classica), in trio (Monastyr) con Francesco Consaga (sax soprano) e Tommy Caggiani (batteria) nonchè in differenti contesti di jazz e di musica improvvisata, principalmente in Italia e Spagna.
Ha suonato e presentato i propri lavori presso note istituzioni musicali internazionali, tra cui, il Conservatorio del Nalòn (Spagna), DGB Haus (Stoccarda), Museo di Jovellanos (Gijon - Asturia), Università di Valladolid (Spagna), Accademia Filarmonica Romana, Auditorium RAI e vari festivals internazionali.EDOARDO BIGNOZZI, began by learning guitar at 13 and subsequently piano and jazz/classical guitar at 20. At the same time attended improving stages with Jim Hall, Cristian Escoudè, John Scofield, Mick Goodrick, Joe Diorio. Later on, stimulated by classical and contemporaneous musicians, he deepens the study of classical guitar. He takes part in many guitar festivals, radio performance of jazz and improvised music in Italy and Europe (RAI Radiotresuite, Radio Vaticana Studio A – presentations of his albums and other recordings, 2° prize Eurojazz ’94, International Guitar Festivals in Rome, Sarzana, Rende, jazz festivals in Spain and Germany with Dauniaochestra, concerts in Madrid, Pamplona, Logrono, Gijon, Nalon Conservatory, Jovellanos Museum, Haro Theatre, DGB Haus Stuttgard, Accademia Filarmonica Romana, etc..
He wrote music for Italian, Spanish and American televisions.
In 1992 he founded Monastyr, an adaptable duet situated between jazz, classical, brazilian and indian music, with the drummer and percussion player Tommy Caggiani and carried out 4 albums for the Spanish label Phorminx and the Italian label Tirreno Records: Austral and Boreal (1995), Spirit of Modern Art (1996), Monastyr (1998), Atlantide (2000).
In 2001 his first solo guitar album “Nocturnal†for the famous German - Peter Finger’s label Acoustic Music Records.
In 1997 he recorded an album entitled “Orizzonti†(Phorminx), with the guitarist and composer Roberto Scornaienchi.
From 1998 to 2005 he collaborated with the pianist and composer Umberto Sangiovanni in the Dauniaorchestra project and took part in the albums “Secretsâ€and “Liveâ€(DNA) and “La Controra†recorded for Raitrade.
In 2003 his second solo guitar album “From Bilbao to Bombay†(Phominx).
