About Me
Brad Henley was born Oct. 15, 1978, and raised by his mother in Louisville, KY.,until the age of five when they moved to Vero Beach, Fl. Always a musical child, Henley taught himself the piano at an early age much to the dismay of his piano teacher. He had an ear for music and could sing anything you asked.Inspired by country/gospel music, 14-year-old Henley decided to try performing, so he began singing at several church venues, talent contest, area events, fund raisers and benefits over the course of his teenage life. He even performed over seas in Hong Kong, China & Philippines in the summer of 1993. By the age of 18, Brad had formed and operated "Elijah Records Recording Studio" and converted his bedroom into a full production studio . With many hours spent and several other local artist he produced, Henley knew he was going to pursue music full-time.With several albums under his belt and well received singles. He headed for Nashville to land a record deal. But when that didn't pan out, he came back home to Florida to start over. Henley, now 17 began writing and with a catalog of over 80 songs, by 19, he self-produced a song called "I'm coming home" it was an immediate local hit. By 1999, he performing his original songs at showcases staged by Long Horse Saloon. None of talent scouts who were there approached him, but had succeeded in placing 2nd place in originality, performance, charisma, and overall stage presence. "I'm Coming Home" was the most requested song Henley, performed that year. That year also brought a marriage and a daughter in 2004 but no career progress. By 2005, Henley teamed up with several local investors who backed and believed in Henley’s voice and song writing. Teaming up with Artist Development Network, Nashville, TN. In early summer of 2006 Henley recorded a four song professionally produced demo of songs he had written and co-wrote. With a press kit, photo, music video and a demo, Henley was still unable to secure any deal in Nashville, all hope...seemed lost. While still performing locally, Henley did a benefit for a young boy with kidney complications. With newspaper and online coverage and over 300 present for the free live concert, many T-shirts, cd’s and merchandise was sold and donated to the cause. In July of 2006, Henley received a phone call from, producer Chuck Howard, who happened to get the demo produced that summer with ADN. Over the next few months, Howard, cut three sides on Henley. Chuck Howard, is known for such development of recording artist such as: Leann Rimes (How do I live, Blue) Coyote Ugly Soundtrack, Trick Pony, John Berry, etc. Chuck is currently working with "Bomshel" recently signed with Curb Records and is negotiating a couple contracts on Henley and hopes that his success will bring this years most promising new recording artist.
