Inner Peace
Honest, genuine, imperfect crazy person seeks self aware, openminded individuals for meaningful conversation, perspective and hugs... I prefer quality over quantity..
I love everything about music, it truly touches me somewhere deep inside. By way of many given songs/pieces of music I'm able to share this part of myself with anyone willing to listen......."WILLING TO FIGHT".. The windows of my soul are made of one way glass... don't bother looking into my eyes if there's something you want to know, just ask.... I got a dead bolt stroll where I'm going is clear I won't wait for you to wonder I'll just tell you why I'm here....'cause I know the biggest crime is just to throw up your hands say this has nothin to do with me I just want to live as comfortably as I can... you got to look outside your eyes you got to think outside your brain you got to walk outside your life to where the neighborhood changes...tell me, who is your boogieman and that's who I will be you don't have to like me for who I am but we'll see what you're made of by what you make of me.... I think that it's absurd that you think I am the derelict daughter I fight fire with words words are hotter than flames words are wetter than water....I got friends all over this country I got friends in other countries too I got friends I haven't met yet I got friends I never knew I got lovers whose eyes I've only seen at a glance I got strangers for great grandchildren I got strangers for ancestors... - ANI DIFRANCO........... I LOVE Horror movies! Zombie movies being my favorite, not sure if this has anything to do with growing up next to a huge graveyard... I remember watching Night of the Living Dead when I was 8 yrs old and I devised a solid plan of exactly how I would go about barcading the house if the dead folks next door ever came back to life. lol. I also enjoy independant films, comedies and dramas. My favorite movies include; The House of Sand & Fog, Walk on the Moon, The 60's, When Dreams May Come, Almost Famous, Donnie Darko, Pay it Forward, Awakenings, SLC Punk, Office Space, Steel Magnolias, Unfaithful, Under the Tuscan Sun, True Romance, Heathers, The Notebook, Suicide Kings, Rounders, Better Off Dead, High Fidelity, Texas Chainsaw Massacre (the remake), The Devils Rejects, The Jacket, Resevior Dogs, Boondock Saints, Goodfellas, Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, 28 Days Later, Nightmare on Elm Street Part 1, 2 & 5, Jason vs. Freddy (Note to Conor: Freddy so kicked Jason's ass) and Halloween.

I like allot of Reality TV shows. I'm a seasonal watcher of Intervention, House, Greys Anatomy, Wife Swap, Trading Spouses, Rockstar, Flip that House, Property Ladder, Etc. I find reality tv to be one of many outlets for analyzing & observing people. I analyze their on camera emotions & actions and try to figure out how their subconcious interfaces with their concious actions/reactions. This info is exstreamly helpful in breaking down how they defy the "type" of person one might assume they are. (My motivation being to disprove stereo types). I'm always looking for what makes someone unique. You can tell allot about a person by observing their emotional reactions vs' how they are in a social environment. Although relaity tv is often geared for entertainment I just want to see the outward & inward reactions. It's also an outlet for me to empathize with a persons "flaws" (i.e. how they are different than myself) without expecting empathy in return. Ok yes I'm a freak. If your analytical you'll get it, if your not then your probably thinking "Damn this Chick is Complicated" :oP My theory being that just because I or you relate to any given person's personality as being this way or that way, it doesn't say anything about what that person's true motivation/intent is... ya ya blah blah blah... Anywho my DVR has been set to record the following: - LOST - DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES - THE LOOP - INTERVENTION (A&E) - FAMILY PLOTS (A&E) - HOUSE MD - WIFE SWAP - TRADING SPOUSES - SUPERNATURAL - THE ELLEN DEGENERES SHOW - THE KING OF QUEENS JUST TO NAME A FEW...Some shows I really liked over the years that may or may not still be on, but that I would buy on DVD are: Party of 5, Titus & Grounded for Life.
Any book addressing astrology; Sun Signs, Love Signs (Linda Goodman), Sun Shines, The Secret Language of Birthdays, etc. My all time favorite book is Ishmael. If you haven't already read it, I strongly urge you to give it a chance. I also loved The Tao of Pooh by Benjamin Hoff, The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran & the toltec wisdom books by Don Miguel Ruiz; The Four Agreements, The Mastery of Love & The Voice of Knowledge. On the home front I've started to type up some of many analogies & have decided if I ever accumulate enough of my rambling, I'll turn it into a book entitled "6 Page Letters" (I have my friend Jonathan to thank for the title ;o)
There are so many people that inspire me from my family to my friends, various musicians, even strangers. First of all my Mom is definately someone that I look up to. She's worked so hard throughout her life to make sure that her kids have everything they could possibly need on every level. She has devoted her life to caring for others. She is one of the most compassionate human beings I have ever known. For the past 6 years she has devoted herself to meeting the special needs of my father who has Alzheimers. I can't even begin to imagine what it takes to watch your husband or wife lose their mind, but she amazes me every day. Both of my parents have helped me become the independant person I am today through their continuous unconditional love & support, they have faith in me when I'm unable to have faith in myself and have given me the courage to continue moving forward on my journey. My good friends Pat, Jason, Jonathan, Molly, Danielle & Melissa continue to teach me so much about life. They've all given me a superior level of unconditional love and acceptance as well as tools that I might not otherwise have found on my own. Jonathan will always be the master of self control in my book! He equally inspires me with his integrity, honesty (as harsh as it can be ;o) & his compasity for self improvement. He has helped me determine the difference between my logic and my emotions, concious and subconcious. Providing me with many needed tools to help me better understand myself and others. Jason the spiritual guru ;o) He has planted so many seeds and opened so many doors in the realm of spirituality & inner discovery. Providing me with tools to distinguish my inner voice. Molly inspires me to forgive myself, she reminds me that it's ok to be crazy and that I'm in good company ;o) She makes me laugh and gives me the opportunity to let myself go and share my silliness with the world. Danielle, oh Danielle. This girl is the master of emotional consequence. Her genuine loyalty and her amazing compasity for forgiveness far surpasses anyone I've ever known (other than my parents). Her drive to understand the differences between herself and those close to her, despite the emense feelings of failure that often accompany such a quest, inspire me to try harder with those I love and to accept the emotional consequences of holding those close that have the ability to hurt you the most. She and my friend Pat have taught me the true meaning of loyalty and devotion. Melissa has inspired me to be more optimistic in my approach to life, she has shown me how incredibly meaningful the smallest act of caring and aknowledgement can touch a person deep inside. I never would've known the power of blind optimism if it weren't for her pressence in my life, it truely has the power to change the world. These are only a few of the people that I consider my hereos. In my eyes everyone is a heroe, from the stranger on the street to my closest friends. We all face challenges everyday and our ability to wake up every morning in the face of those challenges makes every single one of us a heroe.............
