The most commercial and yet most socially aware of the first wave of Kitchenware acts. “Closest Thing To Heaven†was a Top Ten single and they followed up with a string of hits. Sadly, the band only recorded two albums but proved that pop and politics could mix without being preachy or overpowering.A Kane Gang compilation, featuring B sides and several unreleased tracks will be released in 2007 by Kitchenware.
