I engineered a heartbreak because I needed a muse.

About Me

Of all the strange blessings in life, I count my lousy luck with love as one of the most brilliant. As much as it wrenches your guts, unrequited love serves as a virtually indestructible muse. If I come across as biter, jaded, or perhaps hopelessly romantic, I suppose that perception is reality. I personally consider myself to be none of these things, but rather an objectivist who leans towards idealism. Music is my catharsis. Through the songs I write, I am able to express things that might not translate into spoken words… things that I hope are universally relatable.About me… Since I can remember, I have been obsessed with musical theatre. My first leading role was Dorothy Gale in The Wizard of Oz, and I adopted the character’s surname as my own. I’ve enjoyed a life-long love affair with the stage. It’s the one place where I feel at peace. Enveloped in the spotlight, like the mythical arms of a man who would never break my heart, I feel as through nothing bad could ever happen to me.But the spotlight fades and the house lights inevitably go up, and the reality is that bad things do happen. I believe that what shapes our character is not the things that happen to us, but it is how we react to the things over which we have no control. You can wallow in victimization, or you can turn down the role of “The Victim” when some jackhole director offers it to you. I may not get to play the leading lady who lives happily ever after, but I’ve made the most of the role in which I’ve been cast.I hope you enjoy the show!!!
