Skittish, Toombs. Very skittish.

About Me

Like most people my age, I have a past. I have some crowning achievements (two beautiful daughters, former U.S. Marine, getting back into the best shape of my life after being overweight, being saved and finding new life in Jesus Christ), as well as some of my not-so-finer moments (there will be no further elaboration here). I have okay table manners. I'm well adjusted, well-spoken, and read on a collegiate level. I have a sense of humor. I open doors and pay on dates. I have a good job making good money. I have a working vehicle. I'm not completely hideous to look at, and I go to Church regularly. I am, for all intents and purposes, the "perfect" (albeit imperfect) man. All this explains why I am single. I'm not a broke, unemployed asshole loser with no future, and that's just the way I likes it.Furthermore, do not take the above as some sort of "dating resume". I'm not on Myspace, nor have I been on Myspace for the last 3 years, simply to "hook up". Otherwise, I'd have Dating, and/or Serious Relationships in my Here For: section. I'm just looking to find some old friends, and keep up with current ones, as well as maybe make a couple new ones along the way.

My Interests

Working out, Running, Indoor/Outdoor Soccer, Dancing, Clubbing, Dodgeball, Manchester United Red Devils, England National Football Team, FC Dallas Hoops, English Premiere League Soccer, MLS, FIFA World Cup, Video Gaming, Role Playing, Eating right, and I've recently begun reading and studying the Bible, and becoming more in touch with Christ.

I'd like to meet:

Unless your profile really creeps me out, I'll talk to anyone on here. Also, on the same note - I DO NOT ACCEPT BLIND FRIEND REQUESTS!!!!If I don't know you already, I will deny any friend requests not preceeded by some sort of initial dialogue. Also, a "Hi, how are you" then sending a friend request doesn't cut it. Dialogue implies two parties. I had a few phrases in here before that were of the old me. I'm not that angry, bitter, combative, abrasive, vulgar man anymore. He's dead."For we know that our old self was crucified with Him so that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin - because anyone who has died has been freed from sin." Romans 6:6, 7

Music:

House, Dance, Trance, Breaks, DnB, Upbeat Ambient, Hip-Hop, R & B, or anything that will make me swerve, basically. I also like music I can sing to, and Pink Floyd is my favorite band of all time.

Movies:

If it's Action, Comedy, Sci-Fi, or any combination of the aformentioned, odds are I'll probably like it. My favorites are ALL of the Star Wars films, The Matrix Trilogy, Run Ronnie Run, Batman Begins, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Underworld, Friday, Dark City, Not Another Teen Movie, and Rock and Rule, to name a few.

Television:

Mutant X, Buffy, Angel, Seinfeld, WWE Wrestling shows, any MLS or EPL games I can manage to find televised in my area, Smallville, Space Ghost Coast 2 Coast, Chapelle's Show, South Park, Sealab 2021, Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law, ATHF, Family Guy.

Books:

The Holy Bible - New King James Version, particularly the books of Romans, 1 Corinthians, 2 Corinthians, 1 John, Philippeans, Matthew, and Psalms.

Heroes:

Spider-Man, The Uncanny X-Men, Russ Martin, Artie Lange, Dave Chapelle, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, and Ashton Kutcher but only because he gets to have sex with Demi Moore

A bit on the geeky side, but... I guess I'll be watching the CSI/Without a Trace special tonight.  Normally on Thursday evenings I watch Smallville. Lana gets Clark's powers??  Ugh.  Po...

The Battle of Wounded Knee

After a 3 week psudeo-hiatus, today was my first day back on the weights, and doing cardio. Until 3 weeks ago, every time I worked out my right knee felt like a car with bad brakes, and I was gri...

In other news

My left nipple ring started doing what the right one did.  I could see the metal through my skin, meaning my body was slowly pushing it out.  So, I decided to nip it in the bud, instead...

God, I hope that's not a train...

I think I see a light at the end of the tunnel.  Financially speaking, of course.  Should all go well, I'll be a certified Personal Trainer this time next month, and a certified Sports Nutri...

Silly hooker, tricks are for...oh....nevermind

I could really care less for all the Paris Hilton garbage I read/see in the news, except for one thing that's irking the hell out of me.  Thanks to the mainstream media, I now have a new cringe w...

Ouch? Well, not so much.

This morning, at 5:38am, I lost my right nipple piercing.  By lost, I don't mean misplaced.  I mean it in the sense of when a doctor loses a patient.  It dates back to when I first got ...

I got a chorus of 3 Latina MILF's in my neighborhood on their evening walk shouting "Nice butt!" at the same time, as I was running my miles today.  Whose house?  Run's house! EDIT - AN...
