The Ten 55 Band came powering onto the Texas Music scene in the summer of 2003. Since then, the band has since been making the rounds on the infamous Texas Music circuit, which essentially means that they have been playing every bar from the Red River to the Rio Grande…..opening for artists like Jamie Richards, Kyle Bennett, Ryan Bales, as well as headlining their own shows across the State.Rhytm Guitarist and lead vocalist Kyle Reed has been honing his skills as a front man for a number of years, having fronted such A-List bands like West of Nowhere and Stealin Horses, both of which were extremely successful in the DFW area as well as across the southwestern U.S. Joining the band in August 2008, Kyle thinks the band has what it takes to make it to the next level....Most people ask “What does Ten 55 mean?†To the guys in the band it’s a funny story to tell. With bassist Jason Westmoreland, and drummer Eric Tolliver current or former law enforcement officers, the name of the band just had to have something to do with being a cop. 10-55 just plain and simply means “Drunk Driver†to most cops, but to the guys it meant they would be reckless and out of control with their desire to achieve success in Texas Music. The guys know that the success they have been looking for is just around the corner. With numerous venues under their belts, and a steady stream of gigs, the guys have earned the respect of club owners with their ability to draw a crowd, and keep the crowd going with a selected mix of original music, and some classic country and rock covers. With their debut CD due out later this year, the guys look forward to playing for you at a Texas Music venue near your hometown soon….PHOTOS provided by ERIC TOLLIVER, 2008
