Kiyanu

Accomplished guitarist, producer, and composer Kiyanu Kim has developed a reputation for his ability to produce and perform in a wide range of styles, having worked with a number of the industry’s top producers and artists such as Gwen Stefani, Linda perry and Malcolm Burn.

Kiyanu has toured with Grammy award-winning artist Gwen Stefani, in support of her solo album entitled “Love, Angel, Music, Baby.” During his time with Gwen, he has appeared on numerous major television shows including “The 2005 Grammy Music Awards”, “The 2004 American Music Awards”, “Saturday Night Live (SNL)”, “David Letterman”, “The Ellen Degeneres Show”, and “Jimmy Kimmel Live”.

In addition to playing for Gwen Stefani, Kiyanu has been touring with various major label artists such as Ben Jelen from Custard (formally Maverick) and WB recording artist Mozella, supporting acts such as Lifehouse, Pete Yorn and Daniel Powter. Kiyanu recently recorded on Jelen's new Linda Perry-produced album, "Ex-Sensitive" which was released in Spring ’07.
In May of 2005, Kiyanu was again in the spotlight, appearing in a full-page ad for “Guitar World Acoustic” magazine, along with Stevie Vai and Ben Harper.
In the summer of 2001 Kiyanu joined Grammy award-winning producer Malcolm Burn (Iggy Pop, Bob Dylan, Emmy Lou Harris) to record with singer-songwriter Chris Grace on his album entitled “Compulsion”.
Currently, Kiyanu has been producing and writing with various artists with such as Ben Jelen, Peter Moren (Peter, Bjorn and John) and Cubworld. Kiyanu also has been working in the areas of film scoring and music licensing for companies such as Laurel Films, MTV, VH1, and Discovery Channel.
