Anything independent and/or foreign. The more challenging visually and mentally, the better. Favorites include Brazil, Clockwork Orange, Requiem for a Dream, Little Otik, Lost in Translation, Taxi Driver and Bladerunner. Much props to Terry Gilliam and Stanley Kubrick. I also like The Legend of Ron Burgundy, Napoleon Dynamite, Spinal Tap, The Jerk, Caddy Shack and Tommy Boy because laughing is good, too.

Television:

Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Six Feet Under, The Amazing Race, The Family Guy, Insomniac, Ren and Stimpy, true crime/forensic shows, all travel shows, Czech TV, Wondershowzen, Top Chef, Project Runway, Extras, Flight of the Conchords

Books:

Anything by John Steinbeck, Henry Miller, Charles Bukowski, Ernest Hemingway, J.D. Salinger, Philip K. Dick and Hunter S. Thompson. Give me a book and I will be happy for days.

Heroes:

Queen Elizabeth I, Hunter S. Thompson and gypsies
