Slayerjam

SlayerJam was formed one hot summer night in 2000 upon a couple of pints on Café 1000Fryd by Peter and Robert. Their shared passion for slayer, and a need to get back in shape musically led to start a project which soon took on a life on its own. Three weeks after drummer Morten Grandal joined the band, a 19 y.o. kid who had all the craziness needed to take up the challenge of matching Lombardo and Bostaph. Only need now was a bassist vocalist who dared match Araya, a nemesis we’ve been haunted by ever since. In the years from 2000 to 2003 three Araya copycats joined and left the band, Black Metal Chaos Kid Kristian Nidhug, Ex Mercenary guitarist Jønne and High Tower Hansi. In the end our human consumption of singers led to a much needed break, and 2003 SlayerJam went live-undead.2005 Peter turned 30 y.o. and in shared despair of turning into a couple of adult and conformed old farts we decided to raise SlayerJam from the grave. Old time friend Lars was asked to join and he brought drummer Stefan, who with furious dedication fuels the slayerjam pyre.Bo from Aloop eventually joined and left the band playing one concert "The Rock March 2007". The Araya role is beeing occupied by Kasper, the big bad sound tech at cafe 1000Fryd, who with lungs at the size of a blimp is currently destroying the rehearsal PA system - all in good slayer fun.SlayerJam has always been about being true to slayers music and atmosphere. In that respect we are not “artists” – we are entertainers. All we want is to have fun with everyone who needs to spill some aggression and go nuts to slayer.
