About Me

Another Crappy Local Band was started in early 2007 by former big label corporate rockers Jeff and Garrett. Both of their projects had, unfortunately, gone belly up due to the ever changing musical climate of the new millenium. Both hailing from L.A., their meeting up was a happenstance coincidence.
Jeff grew up in sunny San Diego California and took a quick and early grip on his Dad's acoustic guitar at age 2. He was playing 6 tiered harmonic minor sweeping arpeggios by age 8. He chartered as the lead guitar player in an eighties metal band in 1989 entitled, "Super Power Jam", at age 9. Then in 1991 Nirvana's fateful first hit single "Smells Like Teen Spirit" hit MTV and changed it all. No one wanted a lead guitar player like Jeff after the grunge era hit. At age 17 (1997) Jeff joined up with fellow L.A. glam rockers "Twirly Toy Face". Word on the streets was that in the year 2000 the eighties were coming back so it seemed like the right idea. Fast Forward to 2007. A huge deal was set in place to sign "Twirly Toy Face". It was for a 15 million dollar deal with a huge label. Then something terrible happened 1 week before the deal was to go down. "Twirly Toy Face" singer James Monsieur Edmund Keelar was involved in a horrible drunken car accident and pronounced DOA. The deal was off. The band went it's seperate ways. Jeff decided to get out of L.A. (he lived there his whole life). He packed his things and did what any self-respecting musician would do....... he headed for Cleveland...... the heart of Rock ' N' Roll.
Garrett grew up in the heart of L.A. He had played guitar and bass all his life, yet was never involved in a group, despite many offers. Finally when he was 25 he was offered a bass playing position in the L.A. punk band "The George Foxx Band." He accepted the spot. He had great fun on stage and enjoyed his career as a soon-to-be-pro-bass-player. The band was hot, selling out club after club and hailing dazzling review after dazzling review. Everyone was pretty sure a rock 'n' roll paycheck was coming for "The George Foxx Band". Then one day in early 2007 he recieved a terrible phone call. A Nicarauga terrorist group called "El Diablo En Di Es Bajo Piso" had kidnapped Garrett's mother while she was on vacation. They wanted him to hand deliver 300,000,000,000,000,000 pesos ($200 American). Instead Garrett hired a mercenary group entitled "Mercs R US" to rescue her. He left the band to go with the mercenary group to rescue his mother, despite the eminent huge record deal. After her rescue, Garrett found himself at odds with what to do next. He had relatives in and near Cleveland, so he headed there.
The 2 musicians met through a mutual aquaintence and hit it off musically right away.
As we speak, they are writing tunes and working on some cover songs to bewilder the Cleveland area scene.
