How do you connect with someone in this world today where the act of communication has never been easier? Can you really reach someone here???? When I was a radio DJ back in the late 70s to mid-80s, I was always amazed how many females would want to meet just because of a "voice" over the airwaves.
I can tell you things about me to establish common ground, but, is that where a connection begins. For example, my likes range from going to the ocean to spending time in a cabin by the lake or in the mountains. I am very comfortable in a "tux" or jeans with a sweatshirt.I am a guy so as you would expect I love attending "live" sporting events (Tennessee Titans, Florida State-my alma mater, Alabama-favorite team as a kid since I grew up in Huntsville, and open to others). However, I do enjoy the arts/culture like plays (have season tickets to the Broadway Series), concerts & small music venues, and movies. My favorite teams are the New York Jets, Tennessee Titans, Florida State, Bama and the Atlanta Braves. I participate in sports like softball, golf, tennis, swimming, rafting, and canoeing. Perfect date for me: Italian dinner with champagne and great conversation.
I am a conflict inside because I have the analytical side (with a Master's degree in business) as well as the creative side. Also, I feel it is important to tell someone what you feel and are thinking (with no expectations in return...just doing it for "just because"). The worst things have happened to me in life (losing my Dad when I was 13 and my Mom on Christmas Day 1997) so I do take each day as a gift from above and make the most of it.My travel destinations have included: Iceland, Aruba, Cancun(twice), Hawaii, Europe (twice), Haiti, Dominican Republic, St. Thomas, St. John's, St. Marteen's and several other excursions to the Caribbean.I would still like to go (or return) to: Costa Rica, St. Lucia, Cairo, Italy, Iceland, St. Barts, Curacao, Aruba, Australia, and Amsterdam.Finally, I ALWAYS look for positive traits in everyone since negativity is a turnoff to me.
